Gotta grab this toppage since I missed one yesterday

Morning Bill. All I know from the last day is that MOST men love toppage.

This pretty much sums it up.

wgraves7582 - 2010-06-17 9:31 AM Morning Ghoulies.  Just had a nice breakfast and am preparing a blog entry then I might ride to a lbs or I might nap.  Decisions Decisions.

So who is going to give me a recap of the month so far

PAM is most interesting

I vote nap. You've ridden a long way, with heavy bikes, in high heat and humidity. You still have a long way to go. Give yourself a well deserved break.

There is nothing wrong with a change of scenery, but given the option you wouldn't turn down toppage, would you?

Wow, Kim's breaking out the big words.  I actually had to look that one up.

Haha...Preceptorship...I certainly have not had a preceptor in this..er...area...Maybe med school should provide preceptors for things like this--oh right...they do...In the form of hawt residents...or research supervisors...but we won't go there :p

Right PAM...so one of my guy friends made me send him a side profile picture and he said he would tell me later why. So I send him the picks telling him he was a creeper, and he sends me back this response:

you're the best!!!

so this all has to do with SIHA. as i'm sure i have told you we are developing a dietary health curriculum for high schools. part of the presentation includes stations for the students to view set up on tables. Basically we are looking for silhouettes of people for students to look at and profile based on their personal attributes (lifestyle and stuff). SInce you are a physical activity machine, Sahil and I agreed you would be a good silhouette. Don't worry, no one will see your face. just a black outline!

still creepy, I know

PAM!!!! Haha. SIHA is student international health association at the UofA.

Morning Ghoulies!

I finally started working out again this week.  I can't tell if it feels good yet.  Wink

It is still in the 50's  and  cloudy, rainy here.  I understand your complaint about heat and humidity, but we could use at least a little more heat!

I am supposed to swim with the coached group today.  We will see how I do.

Good morning Dee!

I'm more than willing to send a few degrees your way. It is supposed to be mid 90's this weekend and humid.

Good job on getting back to it. I can't say it ever feels good while I am working out. It is afterward that I get a smug glow.

Question for the group

Do any of you not feel like eating when it's hot out? I have noticed over the years that my family eats less over the summer. There or occasionally nights when a popsicle or bowl of ice cream is dinner.

Since I have been out more, and it's been hotter I have not had much of an appetite. Last night after my run I wasn't hungry at all. I had my normal glass of chocolate milk when I got back, and another before bed and that was it for the evening. Even today I haven't been hungry.

So my morning has been a gong show...

First: I woke up at 3am...couldn't fall back to sleep...so I was in bed awake..thinking...

Second: Fell asleep again at 5:45 or so...slept in till 6:45...I apparently wasn't that asleep

Third: Left for swimming...forgot a bra...debated going without today...decided that was a bad plan. Turned around on my way back to the pool and headed back...

Forth: Finally got to the pool...walked into the building...swiped my card...walking into the change room...figured out that I didn't have my equipment bag...walked back out to the car--got my equipment bag...went back to the pool

Fifth: as a result of 2-4, had to cut back my swim--1000m instead of 2000m

Sixth: Eating carrots...just put a rotten one in my mouth...ewwww...

Now surgery day...I'm just going to qualify this as not going to go well...

Ugh :/

I know alot of people who feel less hungry in the summer when its hot...I tend to not...I find I eat more lighter foods though, but I'm not necessarily "less hungry"...

You're looking at this all wrong

1) You got out of bed when you were tired, made it through all the other obstacles and you swam. There were many reasons to give up, but you didn't.

2) Any carrot should be considered a rotten one and all of them should immediately be disgarded.

3) Your patients life is on the line. Do you really want to go into surgery thinking that this is not going to go well Dr. Melindy? Do you?

Some of it may be eating lighter foods. Normally my kids eat around the clock though, and they have been doing less of that recently, which isn't a bad thing by any means.

I have been cutting back on calories, and I think I finally got to the point where my body has accepted it because I'm not hungry all the time, in fact I'm rarely hungry at all, which may not be a good thing when I have lots of miles to put in over the coming months.

This is why I am not going to be a surgeon...I feel like 007 this week...2 rats (not nice either)...stupid respirator...hopefully we find a solution--ie. hopefully my supervisor in Edmonton has a respirator to send.

But I need carrots as I am always hungry right now...and eating other things like I eat carrots will make me gain weight.

I'm now listening to soothing music...lol

Take a break... deep breaths... in with the good, out with the bad.

It seems kind of odd that there is not a working respirator where you are. Do they really expect you to have your own equipment?

You can eat carrots if you like, it doesn't matter to me. They're evil, just so you know.
