Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Good Morning
Not feeling my best today. DH and I started a mildly cleansing diet yesterday. I am a little tired and my stomach is a little weird feeling. I may not stick with it to the letter. We'll see. I did go ahead and workout last night. I may swim this afternoon if my break at work is long enough. I don't like dieting this way, but I need a jump start. I am as heavy as I have ever been. It doesn't seem to be budging despite my consistency with exercise lately. |

It is really mild. I don't even know that it would be classified as a cleanse, though it can clean you out! Basically we eat lots of fruit & veggies, no meat or breads, etc. for 5 days. I think the biggest shock to my system is trying to keep my blood sugar and energy levels in line. |

They did not have permission to get into the database, but sat at a computer that staff who are authorized sit at and thus got in. So, lots of changes taking place here with how staff work on the computers. kns57 - 2013-02-04 1:58 PM Ann & Dee, no HR was not here for the meeting. I have been dealing with them all week and had all the paperwork signed and delivered from them, but I got to do the so called honors of actually giving them their notice. I'm glad it is all over and done with. Stupid thing was is this person lost their job over $12. Stupid. They went into a database they were not authorized to go into which was the bigger issue. They had only worked for us for two months. Again, STUPID!!! I would think the theft would be an issue, too. It starts with $12, but who knows where it ends. If they weren't authorized to access a database then they shouldn't have had permissions to it, that's a simple fix. |

So I guess their social world resolves around the daughter, the grandmother and the aunt. Hopefully the next visit will be better. And yes, we did not detest them, so all will be good. Kendra, I hate that you had to deal with firing someone. That sucks. I hope the ultrasound works. It has helped folks I know a lot. Sorry the meeting with the 'rents was less than stellar. However, at least you didn't detest them. No need to be fast and furious friends, getting along is good enough. |

MotoQueen ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Morning Dee, Robin and Anne. Hope that you are all having wonderful mornings. Tonight I get to go to see Flash Dance at the Fox Theatre. Woot! I will be driving and I just found out that I will need to drop one person off at their house after the show. This person does not drive at night, and usually someone else drives them home, but that person is not coming tonight. Don't these people realize that I am up at 5:45 in the morning and that driving this person all the way to their house, which is 20 minutes past my house and thus adds 40 minutes to my driving, I won't get home until about 1pm to turn around and get up at 5:45 again. Aaaarrrrrgh! Oh, well. I am going to have a wonderful time anyway. I just won't think about all the driving. And the person who asked me to drive the other person is retired and does not have to get up in the morning. Grrrrr! I will play nice. Edited by kns57 2013-02-05 10:26 AM |

I guess after doing computer security for almost 10 years stuff like that really drives me nuts. It is so easy to create and manage accounts these days. |

And the person who asked me to drive the other person is retired and does not have to get up in the morning. Grrrrr! I will play nice. There is a girl in my daughter's class that likes to play sports but her mom doesn't drive and her dad works long hours on a local farm. We have driven out of our way to pick this girl up for an entire soccer seasons worth of practices and games. We picked her up for some basketball games and practices a few years ago. Last year she was on my daughter's softball team and we did a lot of driving for them. I don't mine helping, but it got to the point I felt I was being taken advantage of. I would be expected to contact them to make arrangements for a ride. If you need a ride you can ask me. I would tell them I'd be there at a certain time, no one would be ready. This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. The mom is from Peru or Portugal, I don't remember which, and has a very lackadaisical attitude towards most things. One week she assumed we would take them, but never asked. She never asked, I didn't know she needed a ride, so we made plans with my parents to go eat after the game, then we were stopping for groceries. When she called at the last minute for a ride she expected me to change my plans. We picked them up for the softball picnic last summer, it was almost an hour from our house. We were almost there and she told us we had to go back to her house she thought she left the iron on. We went back, she took her time going into the house. The iron wasn't on. When she got back to the truck she stood there and talked instead of getting in the truck so we could leave. Ask me how ticked off I was. And you know what, if I complained to anyone about it I was the bad guy most of the time. Grrrr This year Keri is playing for a different team so we don't have to worry about driving anyone other than us. |

I think I may have found the cause though, and that's a help. I carry my laptop back and forth to work everyday in a backpack. Every day, twice a day, I sling my backpack over my right shoulder and carry it around, this is the problem shoulder. Just this week I started carrying it on my left shoulder, or using both shoulder straps, and I'm already seeing an improvement. After stopping everything else carrying the backpack was the only thing I could think I was still doing and using my shoulder. |
