I don't like taking Nyquil.  It makes me feel hung over the next day.  But it seemed like a good idea last night.

Plus, I'm still sick so it's been hard to run.

Feel better!

Wow! There has been some serious post padding going on today. I just checked this thread last night, and 7 pages were added to it since then!

Since my flight was canceled and I'm still chillin' in Madison, I'm hoping to get a run in this afternoon.

LazyMarathoner - 2008-09-09 10:18 AM Well kids, I got to the airport at 6:30 and it's now almost 10:30 and I'm still stuck here! I hate days like this. All sorts of time is being wasted

You're post-padding...is that a waste of time?

23.5 mile bike and 30 min strength training.

Let me know if we need more padding and I will get into my teen years.  Now those were fun.

Do others count the elliptical as bike miles or running miles.

saling4 - 2008-09-09 7:58 AM I was a catcher until High School where I learned that second base is a whole lot more fun.

I played catcher 1 season, loved it...  Next year they needed an arm in center so I was moved.

So... I'm confused. Were we supposed to answer that question? 'Cause, um, you answered it yourself.

But, if it makes you happy, it makes us happy.

I count mine as running since that is what I use it to replace. I try to keep a similar cadence/effort level to a run and depending on the type of elliptical I'm on, I either just log the miles it tracks or I do a 10:00/mile equivalent since it's never as fast or hard as a real run.

But I think you can do whatever you want as far as how you track it.

I got to run tonight! Woo hoo! I did 5.7 miles, my first outdoor run since pre-crash. I felt really good aside from a nagging stitch. I went without the ipod so I could just enjoy the sounds of being outside. I have never been more thankful to be out of the gym.

Yes, in this month's challenge - you get to define the activities.

For example, if you think that "running" includes walking, then it does.

So if you planned your month using "elliptical" as a particular activity, then it counts as that activity.

Great job Lazy.  I am thankful that I get stitches few and far between.  Mine seem to come depending on how much I am drinking.  So I sip a lot a "drink" little.

I've returned from the land of cheese and cows. It's a perfect September day in NYC so I'm hoping to run later. I got 4.5 hours of sleep though so I'll have to see if my body allows it after work. Have a great day everyone
