D001 - 2009-06-05 6:56 PM Speaking of running and donuts.... We have the annual "Krispy Kreme Challenge." "Beginning at the NC State Belltower, each runner runs 2 miles to the Krispy Kreme store located on Peace St. in Raleigh. After downing a full dozen of the famous Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the runner must run the two miles back. All in one hour." And this is from their FAQ: Am I allowed to throw up? Okay, we can’t technically stop you from throwing up, and quite frankly, that’s just part of the race, but don’t MAKE yourself throw up. The real challenge is to keep all 12 down, so don’t cheat yourself. I think they closed the race at 5,000 participants this year.... http://www.krispykremechallenge.com
/>
Doesn't sounds like that much fun ... 12 donuts is a bunch hehe

OMG... Two Krispy Kremes are enough to make me ill nad gimme a terrible headache thing... cant imagine what 12 would do!

Shall I reserve you a spot in next year's race?

We can see if you puke.

(I would. Which is why I don't go there.)

I got my trainer ride done.  Slumdog Millionaire wasn't as good as I was hoping.  Oh well, at least the time went by quickly.

Also went and picked up my packet for tomorrow's race.  I'm number 66.  Yippee.  The t-shirts were yellow.  Pastel yellow.  Really.  Glad I upgraded to the tech shirt.  It's white.

I haven't ran yet today, but went mountain bike riding on off-road trails for the first time.  That was lots of fun - especially since I came away without hurting anything   Almost wiped out into to some trees a few times.  Think I just found a new hobby that can double as good hill training on the bike.

Just finished up an afternoon run...not my best idea. It is crazy hot outside!

Mtn biking sounds like fun...what kind of bike do you have? There are some trails around here I would like to try but I should probably get a bike first. lol

Good luck to all our weekend racers!!!

I have a Specialized Rockhopper mtb that will soon double as a commuter every now and then.  I'm going to get another (cheap) set of wheels with slicks to change out for commuting though.  I had to justify the cost of getting another bike to my wife   So I better start riding it to work!

Time to get some mileage in my shoes so I can "justify" some beverage late tonight.

Good call on the upgrade.  I always go with the upgrade now.  I can't stand cotton anymore

Lucky most of my gear is still in my bag from last weekend.  The anal person in me will still unpack and repack everything to make sure it is still there though
