D001 - 2010-02-03 9:43 PM Unfortunately, my work schedule has changed, and I need to be there at the crack of stoopid. I am SO not a morning person.... Maybe I should tase the person who decided that I need to be up before the sun....

Yes. Do it!

This is still my favorite video ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXiOQCRiSp0

Yep, those Jacob's Ladder vids are nothing less than outstanding and leave me in awe.  I can't imagine the poor saps that had their lives ended quickly trying to work with electricity in the beginning, learning to control it and such.

Hey Jen,

I heard schools were canceled today already.  Forecast is calling for up to a foot of snow?  YIKES.  Getting home this weekend is going to be interesting!

Yep.  I know Richmond and Henrico are both closed.  I went to school, but left early.  They closed it at 4.

Downtown does not have very much snow (at least when I left at 2), but there is a lot more at my house.

Hello Nibbs!  How are things?

Rainy. VERY rainy. Probably pretty much the same kind of rainy that you're having there, in fact.

But it's NOT snow. Or sleet. Or even freezing rain. So I'm OK with it.

How tall is she? How much snow did you get? Will you even see her after she makes the first leap outside?

She's pretty small for a cat - only 9 pounds.  She disappeared in the drifts last time.

It's now raining instead of snowing.  I really hope it doesn't freeze and then snow again because that will be a crazy mess.

LOL, I was wondering why you thought that people made French Toast.... and then I saw the grocery list.

Not to mention that if the power goes out for any length of time, you're probably going to be throwing a lot of that stuff out. *I*, on the other hand, bought chocolate chip cookies and pop tarts.

No French Toast for me. LOL

That's a smart move.  Why buy anything that spoils when there is a potential power outage?  It makes no sense to me.

I didn't even go shopping.  But then again we just have rain, rain and more rain.

Now tomorrow I have a big list for shopping.  I'll be making four pizzas on Sunday.  And I think I might make a dessert, and then I said I would make my staff at work a cake for Tuesday.  So, I think I'll be spending the rest of the weekend in the kitchen.  Well, maybe part of it.  We are having date night tomorrow night.  Thinking of going to see Blind Side.
