It turned in the perfect storm of "blah". 11am meeting goes to 12. I want/need to SWIM at 12, but boss offers to go to lunch. Blah #1. But I figured he would pay. Nope. Blah #2. We go to subway, not even THAT good and struggle to find SOMETHING low cal. Blah #3. It costs me 7.50. Blah #4 He decides that all of a sudden, he needs to go back to the office and order it to go. Blah #5 SOOOO to summarize, I'm back at the office sitting at my dest with a sandwich I didn't want that cost me $7.50 INSTEAD of getting thin and fit at the pool. All because I scheduled an 11am meeting. Next time. 10. That's blah x5 |

After not doing any racing since DNF'ing Superfrog HIM on 9/11/2011, I just registered for a 2.4 Mile OWS (TikiSwim) and my 2nd try at an HIM (Oceanside 70.3). Also, I lost 12 lbs last month. Just wanted to share... That is all... Carry on.
No, life has been too crazy, and training/competing was on back-burner.
I moved to SD for a new job in December 2010. Trying to keep my head above water in a job that sucked for a year. I was so psyched to move to San Diego County, that I did not research that my position had a revolving door of 8 people in the previous decade.... not the norm for my industry. Found out I was getting laid off in December 2011, blessing in disguise but.... I spent that time trying to not burn bridges with that employer while I was looking for a new job that I did not get until June 29.
Trying to get life back to normal, take care of self and training, spend more time with wife & kids, and make a strong showing with my new job that requires more time in the car.
This is my big step back into getting my issshhhh back together.
I do run and OWS at Black's once or twice a month though! Maybe going Sunday afternoon... 30-40% probability at this point. Wife's knee hasn't been appreciating the cliff steps. |
