Ann, Hope the doc can give you some help with the shoulder.  Now that you have identified the backpack problem, maybe the shot will get it gone and it will stay gone.

And just reading about your day makes me tired

Good afternoon Ghoulies! 

The show last night was wonderful.  I really enjoyed it.  Dinner was a nice salmon salad.  Then the show did not run as late as some of them do, so even after driving everyone home, I was home just a little bit after midnight.  Read my book to relax, but oh getting up this morning was a struggle. 

Dee - I hope your broken up day goes well.

Robin - My doctor has been giving me a second prescription just in case the first does not clear the infection.  I don't fill it unless I have to.  That way you don't have to go back into the doctor.

Ann - I remember the softball picnic and the driving issue.  I'm like you, if you ask me I will do it, but please don't assume.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I have been at this job for just a few days short of a year. Yesterday I got an email that space heaters were not allowed in the building and I'd have to take it home. My heater has been here as long as I have, and I use it almost every day because it is so cold in here - even in the summer time.

Sounds like your building just got a fire inspection.

They do show that I sure do need to get rid of a lot of me.I had better get to work.

Yeah. I've sat here all morning being cold, too. They had to move the microwave and toaster oven because they were unsafe, so now they're in the empty cube right across from mine. I thought that people's lunches smelled bad before, now it's right up close and personal to me.

I have a blanket in my office for just that reason. A nice wool throw blanket. Keeps me toasty warm. No help for the lunches though. Cubes are difficult that way.

Ugh, so sorry.  The blanket is a good way to go though.  (As I sit here with both a space heater & a blanket)

I'm back from my doctors appointment and honestly it was a waste of my time and money. She didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know - I have bursitis, and some tendonitis probably as a result of the bursitis in my shoulder.

Conversation at appoinment with doc pressing on my shoulder

doc: does this hurt?

me: no

doc: that doesn't hurt?

me: no

doc: are you sure?

me: I'm pretty sure I'd know if it did

doc: well you have some obvious swelling here, it should hurt for me to press on it

me: it doesn't

She wanted to send me to PT, I declined. I told her I'd done a lot of damage to my body over the years and I've been to PT many times, and only once did I feel satisfied with the results, the rest were just a waste of my time and money. She gave me some stretches and exercises to do. I'm going to go back in 8 weeks and see how it is. If there's no change I'm going to get the injection.

Dang! Do the the stretches and exercises religiously. Doing them saved me from having shoulder surgery.
