deehtz - 2010-10-10 8:58 PM Went for a bike ride with DH today.  It was short but still a pretty good workout.  He has not been on a bike for about 9 months and doesn't workout regularly.  However, he had quite good speed for an old cruiser bike and not working out.  I stayed in the big ring so got a pretty good workout.  He was quite encouraged.  He did much better than his last ride.  Of course he has lost about 40 #s since then so that helps!  I am so proud of him for losing the weight.  He enjoyed the ride today and felt good about how he did, so perhaps he will ride more now.  I sure hope so.

Very cool!  And congrats to your DH on his weight loss!

X2 Dee!

I am giving you all 1 month of sunshine and warmth.  I am ready to ski and snowbike and take some photos of something other than green trees Cool

I'd really prefer at least 6 weeks of crisp fall air, beautiful foilage and no wetstuff of any kind falling from the sky.

Ok, off to put some miles on the sneaks then knock out some planks and push-ups.  We need to get those miles/sessions/yards etc done and logged in.

Back in a bit.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-11 7:35 AM A 3 mile run + obstacles + chest deep cold water + 64oz of beer = one tired nekkid

I believe it is Nekkid - fun time I imagine though?

It was a blast. I was glad my friend did it with me. The one obstacle would have taken me all day to do on my own. We had to climb over old army trucks. There were ropes but I have no upper body strength. He went up first then grabbed my arm and helped me over. There was about a 4' drop off the other side. He must have seen my wince after the first one, because he helped me down off the next 3 then.

We finished somewhere between 40 and 45 minutes, I'm waiting for the results to be posted. Some of what slowed us down was waiting for people to get out of the way at the obstacles.

I highly recommend doing a Warrior Dash to all of you.

Wow!  Glad you had fun!   Going over obstacles sounds  okay, don't know if I would be strong enough. But with footholds I could.  BUT wading thru "chest deep cold water"?????  Unnhh unnhh.  Nope.  No way.

But GOOD FOR YOU, ANN !!!!

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-11 7:15 AM So my no ride same route bike ride challenge is quite interesting.  I have to actually think when I leave the house - takes all the fun out of it but it is making me want to ride the bike again so it must be good

Why does it take all the fun out?

Now I have to think about where I am riding - not really taking the fun out - just wrong wording - LOL

Thanks for keeping me on the up and up Dee

Oh any time Bill ... any time    Cool

I am glad that you want to ride again.  Different routes and different scenery (snow... LOL)  does help!
