Pete, I think you are smart for getting everything done while you still have the insurance. I know when I was losing a job a few years ago, we all went to dr, eye dr, dentist and got the most out of it!

The HR lady actually told me to do it. And then so did my mom. I totally wouldn't have thought about doing it myself.

I am, though, using it to justify to myself a half day... not that I need much convincing.

Rough start to the day.  I got a 6:30 wakeup call/lecture from my mom.  Joy.  Had to squash that and hang up on her.  Dog left a big pile of puke on the carpet...  Joy.

Pewpy, pewpy (see what I did there?), and awesome! Sounds tasty. It can't be ALL bad this early in the morning!

All of "this" has been a process.  I also forget how hard it is for other people, even if I think it's one of those things you "just deal  with and move on".  The family has been some of the toughest to deal with in different ways.

Some have SO much concern, they can't even trust me to be doing the right thing and always have instructions and directions.  My brother?  The opposite.  Hasn't even checked in ONCE to say "what's up".  Granted, his wife has, so he gets his updates through her.

I should be more aware of how hard this is for others and help them try to work through it.

Just had a pretty hilarious interaction with a coworker. 

CW: So I found another quick bit of work that I need you to do. I'll explain it to you this afternoon.
Me: Yea, I probably just... won't be here this afternoon.
CW: ..... tomorrow morning, then? 

haha!  I gave her her time.  When it get's to the 3rd or 4th repeat of the same thing, I "politely" say, I have heard it and I don't want to hear it any more.  Point taken, and we mutually hung up.  Not pleasently, but not rudely.

I don't mind talking about health or plans or vacation.  But I don't need to be put on the defensive about social networks and what I say...  But that's a whole side story, and not very important at the moment.

Gym, just when I already think really well of people, they go ahead and say something that totally blows me away.

This is one of those times.
