Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge serendipity - 2009-10-03 4:32 PM After my daughter finished her riding lesson I checked out a new gym in the area. Figured I might have to break down and run on a treadmill this winter. Going to start doing some strength training too. The couple that owns the place is very nice, and they are adding on a room to have classes like, oh, yoga and such...you know, if they can find a yoga teacher who might be willing to trade teaching for treadmill time.... Got anyone in mind? Sarcastic (no life on Saturday night) TopPage. Edited by ceilidh 2009-10-03 8:16 PM |

My training log is going to be CRAMMED with "house cleaning" after today. I've already put in over 2 hours and I'm just getting warmed up. Here's to cardio-sweeping/wiping/scrubbing/folding! Again, running a 1/2 m is better than housework! Nice lunch though. |

Then go to a fall art festival and eat low country boil. YUM for me, too. ok...what is low country boil? I do know what a fall art festival is! have fun!!! but yard work and chores???? that is something I really try to stay away from! A low country boil is crab, oyster, clams, corn on the cob and potatoes all steamed (or boiled but I prefer steamed) together with crab boil spices. You do it in a huge caldron. Everyone stands along the picnic table (outside for sure) and holds the edge of the table cloth up. The contents of the caldron is then thrown along the table like a sluice. Everyone procedes to eat and drink beverage of choice, usually beer but I am a wine person. Sounds fantastic! I did one of those a few years back in wisconsin except with various fish instead of the shellfish. Watching them light that fire pleased in the inner pyro in me. Oh, and the food was good too |

I haven't been back there in almost 3 years. Thanks! Should I say hi to Minneapolis or St. Paul? I think I'll be happier to see St. Paul tomorrow because that means my marathon is almost over |

Although if you could throw in a "Go Twins, Boo Tigers" for me, that would be sweet too. I hope the weather holds for you, and that you have a great race! What's your goal time? |

Oh, goal time is a 3:10:59 (BQ time), but I'll be happy with anything under 3:30 really. That would be awesome! I had a friend run Boston last year, and she finished somewhere around 3:30 there and had a great time. She isn't running TC though due to a foot injury. If Chicago can finish Detroit off tonight they will be all tied going into the final game. My mom and brother are going to be at the Dome tomorrow and I'm VERY jealous. I just can't believe this whole situation is making me root for the White Sox. Oh well... |
