GOOD ....  I think that stretching is very undervalued.... Much could be prevented or alleviated with consistent stretching .....

;)   oops, sorry that is my soapbox at work  ...  guess I forgot where I am  :)

I tell my wife all the time.  She complains about being sore and I ask if she stretched and guess what - nope :)

I stretch at work all day long.  It is pretty funny I will do anything to get the leg good again - even yoga!

LOL   your wife has the same viewpoint as my DH   .... he is always wanting me to massage his calves to loosen them up.   I finally told him that I would only work on his calves AFTER he stretches them.  Now he is doing better about stretching them out, but he still neglects stretching out his back, arms etc. after a workout or all day at work.  oh well at least he is walking and biking more ;)

Current temp calls for short sleeve, but the thermometer is dropping - wtf.  Don't like the idea of being underdressed for 8 miles.  Yeah, found the arm warmers!  Off for a run.  Back at ya in a bit.

LOOPY 8 MILER WITH ARM WARMERS.

i made this yummy Chicken Tortilla Soup for lunch/dinner.  HERE'S THE RECIPE:

Recipe Created By: Robbie
Serves: 8
Prep. Time: 0:20 or more

1/4 cup butter OR margarine
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk
8 oz. Velveeta process cheese food - cubed
10 oz. can Ro*Tel® tomatoes and chilies
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
salt and pepper – to taste
flour tortillas – as needed, about 4 - 6
shredded Colby Jack cheese OR Mexican blend cheese – as needed

-In a pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook, stirring often, for 3 minutes.
-Slowly whisk in small amounts of chicken broth at a time, then whisk in milk.
-Reduce heat to low and stir in Velveeta cubes; stir until melted.
-Stir in Ro*Tel, chicken, and spices.
-Once soup is heated through, it is ready to serve at this point. However, if you wish to make tortilla strips, it can sit over low heat while they are made. Stir the soup occasionally.
-For tortilla strips, cut tortillas into strips and deep-fry in 350 degree vegetable or peanut oil until golden, then drain on cooling racks.
-Spoon a ladleful of soup into a bowl, add a handful of shredded cheese, then spoon another ladleful of soup over cheese. Sprinkle tortilla strips over top. Repeat for remaining servings.

Notes: If you want to save a lot of time, use crumbled tortilla chips instead of tortilla strips. As a substitute for Ro*Tel, you can use 1 1/2 cups of salsa. Spiciness can be easily adjusted by using spicy Ro*Tel or salsa and/or adding cayenne pepper to the soup.

Looks yummy I am going to have to make that one!

Alright - A Bill Synopsis since I was elected without volunteering

Neal got new furniture but should have bought a new bike instead.  He likes his new rain gear (what type is it Neal for others who play in the rain?).  He was going to do intervals while waiting for his furniture to return to buy a new bike and that is all to page 46.

Jules - Put a sheet together and it keeps getting adjusted because we (you guys) are a running foolish team

Stacie - Holy Cow can she talk.  No stress but still likes chewy candy.  Has a 1/2 mary coming up with PA, OH, and YMCA Peeps - she is very popular.  Kids are the only ones that got sick (so far and hopefully it stays that way!)

Bill - MIA

Ann - Feeling a little better.  Defended her making me swim in a freezing lake but was a great towel girl - Ann you didn't sneak any peaks did you? LOL

Dee - Fairly quiet or my brain is fried and I cannot remember.

Tom - Had a PR - Great job.  Got a sick note from Debbie.  Passed 300 posts also

Debbie - kept the fire going while her hubby is at a conference with 100 other IT people (snore fest right )

Kim (C) - drinking wine while keeping up - so who knows what might be said shortly!

Amy - Going to bed with hubby and never found out if BT was invited or not.  So we do or**es now also Jules ?

Mindy - Passed a test about something I know nothing about (there is a lot of that though )

Kendra - Stopped by and is recovering from work and being sick.  Welcome back Kendra.

Willie - we think we scared him away!

Kim (K) - Teaches at the Y also and does not like training in the raining (had to make it rhyme ) - Posted 1 whole page to herself this morning also.

I know I missed a lot and I am sorry but please fire me because I know others that can do a better job of it

WOW.

BILL.

youre really good at that.

you get to keep your job.

and....

for the record....

if I was your towel girl,

id sneak a peek.

I forgot to mention it - as a tease to myself I bought 2 new pair of running shoes the other night.

A pair of Asics with limited support and a pair of cool looking Brooks racing shoes.  I am working on going no support and possibly attempt barefoot running next spring so I figure the more flats I incorporate into my winter training will help me for that.

I wish I could run.  Part of me just wants to run 1-2 because my leg never flares up until 2.5 miles or more but I know that would be dumb!

that WOULD be dumb, mr w. graves.

the running 1-2 because your leg never flares up until 2.5 part.

THAT would be dumb.

cool shoes!  both pairs.

PICTURES?

and way cool on the running barefoot aspiration.

the way we were made to run....al naturale.

kinda like swimming.
