wgraves7582 - 2010-10-11 9:00 AM My snowbike should be here within 1 month - now we just need some snow!!!!!

Sorry Melindy!

Now, now. Don't rush it.

I am giving you all 1 month of sunshine and warmth.  I am ready to ski and snowbike and take some photos of something other than green trees Cool

I'd really prefer at least 6 weeks of crisp fall air, beautiful foilage and no wetstuff of any kind falling from the sky.

That is a fair trade - we are north of you and I will take 4 weeks

NO!

So one of my friends did a marathon in the Okanagan yesterday. She slightly ischemified her bowel. She is pooing some blood. Please drink water and remain hydrated when you do your marathon/triathlon/ironman in order to protect your bowel. There are about 4-5 regions of the bowel that are called "watershed" areas that are prone to having loss of blood flow if you are severely dehyrated. That is all.

She is fine and eating bfast and driving home. But it could have been worse.

PS: It protects your kidneys too.

Okanagan is a region in BC. Its pretty large. Its where all the fruit is grown and Penticton (where IM CAN is) is.

Aren't you feeling a cold coming on????

Skip the meeting!!!

I'd love to but it is a town meeting that I am part of. It only meets once per month and the guy who is leading it just lost his wife (came home and she was dead- he is 47!!!) If he can show, I gotta show.

That's what a friend of mine did at IM St George last spring. Well, that plus taking 800 mg ibuprofen every FOUR hours, before and during the race. Oh, and a bunch of acetaminophen, too. She wound up in the E.R. the day after the race because of the pain and bleeding.

It is soooo important to stay hydrated out there!
