pdbman - 2010-11-19 10:33 AM Midnight show of Harry Potter + too much popcorn + work in the morning = not a good thing.

I don't know why I ate so much popcorn. Its like I'm a popcorn addict. I never buy it for myself, but when its around I can't keep my hands off it. So we get a large simply to get our money's worth. The medium is half the size but only 75 cents more. I swear they filled it with all the crap at the bottom of the popcorn maker and then put a little good popcorn on top. And yet I still couldn't keep my hands off it. Now I feel sick and wish I could just empty my gut and get it over with. I feel like I have a hangover.

I think they put something on it. I LOVE movie theater popcorn. LOVE IT

They do put special seasoning on it. I used to work at a theater. It was one of the funnest jobs I ever had and I could have all the popcorn I could eat. I ate enough to last a lifetime. I never buy popcorn for myself anymore but can't keep my hands off it when we do get it.

pdbman - 2010-11-19 11:38 AM And I have a confession to make. I didn't get my push ups and sit ups done last night. I took too long to wrap up some other stuff I needed to do and then it was time to leave for HP. Then when I got home at 3:00 I just didn't feel the magic. It wasn't going to happen. I'll add on another set over the next couple of days to make up for it. Actually I'm still ahead of that goal but it would be nice to not lose the lead I have on that goal. Things are going good and I was thinking of boosting the goal.

What did you think of the movie??  I liked it, my friends were disappointed they changed so much from the book but I think it's almost necessary to so the movie isn't 6 hours long.

Its been too long since I read the book to really remember any changes. It was like rediscovering it all over again. I hate to say it but book 7 isn't my favorite book. I really think they could have done the whole thing in one movie. I think there were other books that would have worked better with two movies. To me it seemed slow but then so did the book.

pdbman - 2010-11-19 10:34 AM Good luck in court Judi.

I figured out to just pay the exhorbitant fines and leave......I paid for 2 hours of parking and at 1 hour they hadn't even gotten through the A-H names.  With a Z name I was going to have to pay another $20 to park plus the fines and all.....so I just got ripped off by the state of VA for $117 for the ticket, plus parking and the points on my license but I am not going to driving school to make some judge happy.

Sorry things didn't work out. Sometimes I wish they had ticket lawyers like I've read about in NYC. Pay a hundred bucks or so and they fight it for you. Pile on the paperwork and the court doesn't want to deal with it for the amount of money they get so you may end up getting off without any points or anything on your driving record. Sounds like a pretty good trick but I'm sure its not as easy as the article made it sound.

TriAya - 2010-11-21 12:04 AM Ohdear! Healing {{{MELON PRESSES}}} for all the injured and sick piglets!!!

I'm doing okay, finally shot past 50% on all my goals (never mind the month is 66% done, I'm pacing my catch-up!)

I found out my engagement was over on FACEBOOK, of all things.

So I'm a little bit bummed and a lot bit homicidal.

But I've been here before and I know I'll live. (It's much worse than I'm making it out to be, but I refuse to get swallowed up in the gloom without at least a hideous-humor lantern with me ...)

Plus, I seem to be surrounded by hot wet and mostly young blond surfer piglets, so that's taking away some of the sting.

That's pretty lame of someone to dump their partner on Facebook, especially when its the fiancée. I hate to say it but you're better off without someone in your life that would do something like that. Remember that we love you. Sorry we're not there in person to give you hugs and be with you as you're going through this.

Hey everyone!

Checking in to let you know I'm still here. It's been so hectic with my new job. It's a learning experience every day and I am having a bit of trouble keeping up. Hopefully soon I will get ahead of the learning curve. I'm also making arrangements to move. I just applied yesterday to rent at an apartment and am anxiously/nervously awaiting the outcome. If it goes through I will be moving in at the start of January.

My goals are all coming along well except for the weight loss. I will get 75% for SURE, and am working at trying to lose at least a couple pounds before the end of the challenge. I am back to the weight I started at (I had gained...). I have my new spinner and am doing at least 3 runs and 3 spins per week.

Have a great day everyone! Sorry I haven't been around so much this month.

No no, I'm sure he deserves every thing you've said. Isn't this someone you've known a long time? So why *didn't* he call you to speak with you about it? --> See? You're much better off with the surfer piglets.

And they're probably a lot more fun too.

It's one of the many Murphy's sub-laws of Time.

They even supersede Newton's Laws.

Hey everyone -
Thought I would stop in and say Hello since I am not sure when the last time I was here.

Completed my first half mary yesterday. Ultimate goal was to finish which I did. Super goal was finish under 2:30 and I finished in 2:37 which was great considering the conditions. We were in the mid 70s on race day, 61% humidity and winds gusting to 20.  Gotta say for the "flat mary" that I was thinking I was doing, uphill for the first 1.5 miles, rolling hills through mile 8.5 I was far from flat.   Didn't walk until between mile 10 and 12 fighting the shot blocks to stay down. Realized late in the game that I need to think about salt for the next one. I don't know the first thing about it but I think I should have taken some yesterday since I was caked in it when I was finished. Still happy about the finish and will have to post my medal - it "spins".

Today - short 2 mile walk (slowly) and some core.  Thighs are a bit sore and my feet have numerous blisters on my toes even though I body glided, wore wicking socks and had 1/2 size larger shoes that weren't new on. Overall not that bad.. Hubby even offered to train and run my next one with me. I love him for the offer since he ISN'T the running type.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Stacie
