I don't think I'm going to squeeze in anything else today, so here's my month:

January's totals:

Strength:3h 00m

Totals are lower than I'd planned due to illness.  Swim should pick up next month.

Pretty awful month for me, but not bad on the bike mileage considering I had shoulder surgery Jan 13th. Was also able to get on the stationary bike at the gym today, and eliptical the last couple days at home.  I look like a tool on the stationary bike having to sit straight up and holding my right shoulder close to the body.  But hey, at least I can slowly start spinning the legs again. Great month for many of you.  Nice work!!!!

Got back in the pool this month, did a little strength training, run miles dropped off, but bike increased.  Would have liked more running, but overall ok.

So I am excited to say that the last 2 weeks while my diet has not been perfect my water retention is down significantly. I have really tried to watch my carb intake and replacing with salads and more meats.Any one up for another weight loss challenge? I would like to lose about 30 lbs in the next several months. Anyone else need to lose a few? We would report every Monday or so?

Kelly - That sucks!!!!  I hope your lungs clear soon and you are able to breathe better.  As an asthmatic, I understand how painful respiratory illness can be.  Take time to get well.

Carrie - Congrats on the weight loss!!

I was up for an early ride on the trainer, then I have an hour run later this morning.  Heading out of town for the weekend on Friday morning, so I really have to get the training sessions in before I leave.

I saw 140 again on the scale this morning after months of an 8 lb. gain from last season.  Race weight is 135 for me, so I don't really need to lose right now.  Want that cushion for HIM training this summer.

Numbers are little off because of the bronchitis at the end of the month.   Hoping to be able to do something training wise tomorrow.

CONGRATS!

I think a Tuesday weigh in is a good idea for everyone who wants to participate (I saw Tuesday purely our of selfish reasons -- because I do my big workouts on the weekends, I tend to have water retention issues on Mondays).

Right now I can't do anything until I get some lung capacity back and can take a deep breath without coughing.  Its going to be interesting, I'm taking a deposition today and I'm going to try to control the coughing. 

I'm driving myself fairly crazy -- way too much time on my hands.

We did do one last year as well ... I unfortunately held steady

Ok, anyone else that wants to join (currently have 4 people total) let me know and I will keep track on a spreadsheet and we will send out data every Tuesday morning (to help out the water retention people from long weekend workouts) and I will send out report by Wednesday.

I would even suggest for all to start keeping track of food intake during the day.  Doesn't have to be as detailed as Kellys, but I have found that there is more accountability ... and maybe less cookie breaks (at least for me) by doing so

I'm not posting my numbers for January.  With being sick for a week, it's pretty sad.  February will be better!

I'm also in for the weight loss thing.  I want to be down 15-20 lbs by May.  I keep losing and gaining the same 5 lbs over and over since I'm at a comfortable weight.  But I'd like to get down to a good race weight by then.

I wonder if there is a point where too much weight loss equals too much muscle lost and less speed or endurance??
