E burnt her taco, eh? Sad. Burnt tacos don't taste nearly as good.

I don't mind 'em.

I can go either way.  Admittedly, I don't recall ever having had a burnt taco.

Speaking of strange critters (me), have you put any thought into how I should treat November's training? You have me scheduled for 154 miles or so. I've never 'tapered' for a race with that kind of distance up front. I'm thinking I might do speed workouts 1x a week - the tempo runs - until Thanksgiving week and then knock it off with just easy running until the marathon.

That's about what I had in mind.

pffftt... This is TAN.... It's SUPPOSED to sound wrong.

Again.... Women are strange critters.

Yes. My wife worries says `you have weird nose hair again' but when I say `I'm getting my legs waxed' she looks at me like i'm weird.

I shave mine 3x a week... but I'm thinking about going the waxing route myself if its not too expensive.

I'm thinking about going the laser route.  Waxing is time consuming and expensive.

For the taco and the carrot, that kind of makes sense but we're so much hairer than y'all, I just don't know.

That's one of the great things about TAN, BTW, we can talk about this stuff without getting the thread pulled in a lot more explicit, um, terms than on main COJ.

Can we stop calling it a taco now?

Ruining your dinner ideas?

By the way, I've determined that hot dogs are environmentally friendly food.  I'm now going to create a study to prove this, write a documentary, and win the Nobel Prize.

TAN cracks me up. I'm literally sitting here laughing at work about Elektra and Beth's comments.

Beth, don't get angry at us. You're the one that goes on a taco ride every week.

what about turkey dogs?

Same thing.  Although I don't believe in turkey dogs.  Figments of some freakish imagination.  Really.....crossing a turkey and a dog....  The good Lord would be appalled by such a thought.

And now it takes on a whole new dimension of meaning, too.

Do you think we'd be too wiped out after CIM to do a hash run of some Midtown bars the next day?

Spokes, reach down, grab your hairless ba!!sack and man the f*** up!!!

Of course you can do a has run next week, especially if it involves bars. Geesh. What a bunch of Sallies around here. `Should I run two marathons a year apart or will my lilly-ashe leg muscles collapse?' `Oh if I do a sprint triathlon can I do a 5K a month later?' Wussies!!!

You know what I did after the killer Chicago Marathon? That's right. Went home, showered, changed and hit the bar for some drinks, a burger and a fat stogie. Watched football til midnight and still had the energy to take care of those three college girls. (OK the last part about the college girls is a big fat lie, but the rest is true.)

It really hurt when those girls laughed at your suggestion that they come to your condo and get naked with you, eh?

Yes. Thanks for bringing up painful memories.

It's neither super nor a sprint nor a triathlon. Discuss.
