What do you tell them about the way Trump speaks? The way he insults and belittles people, and throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way? Honest question.

I tell them that here is a guy that can actually make a difference in this country.  He's not afraid to do the hard work and say the hard things.  BUT, he could get so much more done if he wasn't such an arse.  You don't have to  belittle people to get what you want and make a big difference in life....and you shouldn't.  And above all else, learn from all of what you are seeing that life follows you.  You own, and you will for the rest of your life, every action you take and every word you speak......let that guide you.

They're smart kids, and they are accomplished kids, and they see the world with fresh eyes.  On their own, they are disgusted by the way the left has acted after they lost the last election.....and the Dems have lost at least one of their votes because of it.  The twins have already been told by a  professor or two in college that their views are wrong....and they will dig in because of it....because they have a solid foundation to rely on, and they know it serves them well.  A different opinion isn't wrong, and they know it.  They can easily see intolerance.....and they don't see it, and never learned it, from their conservative parents, so they won't buy into stupid.

And man.....do they roll.  I never know where they are headed next.  This weekend alone, one took off with some friends for Manhattan Ks. to visit other friends and go to the Texas/K State football game, one came home and left in 20 minutes to camp and bonfire on the Mississippi river for the weekend with her boyfriend, and the other is in Louisville to run a college XC invitational.....and every damn weekend is the same.

I'm just getting more grey.

Oh....I almost forgot.....they all love beer. LOL

And on another note.....Jeff the Flake decided to cast his vote for Judge Kavanaugh with a condition.  That being that he would not vote to confirm without an FBI investigation.  So now we have DimFi, holding on to an allegation for 6 weeks, WHEN SHE COULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY TURNED IT OVER TO THE FBI WHILE THEY WERE ALREADY INVESTIGATING, getting what she wanted with that joke of a ploy.....a delay.

DimFi sold Professor Ford down the river.  And you watch, Ford will be forgotten and thrown in a dumpster when this doesn't work to the Dems favor.

This continues to be disgusting.  People are being dragged through the mud so that the Dems can make any play they can to deny this seat to President Trump and the Republicans. This is not about a sexual assault allegation!!  It has NOTHING to do with that.  This is all about denying this appointment to President Trump.

In the end, no matter how this individual event goes, the Dems will lose AGAIN....watch and see....and they will drag the MeToo movement with them.  Stupid.

And Richard Blumenthal?  He should be in prison.  The guy who lied about service in Vietnam gets to help choose a Supreme Court justice??  In what world???

I can only tell you that no Prosecutor I have dealt with in 31 years would issue a warrant on this case. (bring charges)  In fact, the ONLY reason I would even send a case like this to the Prosecutors office is to get it off our log and show it as "unfounded" in our UCR report.  We would also not arrest the "suspect" since the case lacks probable cause to believe a crime has occurred.

I have had extensive investigative training throughout my career, taught by experts from all corners of the country,  and I can say with complete confidence that not a single one of them would carry a different opinion from my own.

If you want to REALLY see that woman get exposed.....have her cross examined by a defense attorney....it would be a massacre.  She was treated with an incredible amount of "fairness" for someone who has levied these charges in this manner. 

So for all of you going on and on about how Ford is telling the truth and this happened......you realize that's a crime, right?  In most jurisdictions it's a sexual assault 3rd at worst.....attempted rape at most.  If you believe this is a true allegation, would you be OK with Kavanaugh being arrested?  I mean, I don't really now how that would happen since you wouldn't have ANY physical or corroborating evidence....but if you believe it then it must be true.

Now.....let's do this same thing, with these exact circumstances, to your son....or your father, or your brother.  You still in the game?  You still full of your righteousness?

Here's the deal.....if you want the #MeToo movement to have ANY credibility at all, then go make a police report with these types of allegations.  THAT IS HOW WE REPORT CRIMES IN THIS COUNTRY!!  THAT'S HOW WE ENSURE DUE PROCESS IN THIS COUNTRY!! 

We are a nation of laws......not a nation of idiots. (no matter how hard we try)  Let's do our best to act accordingly.  The world is watching.

The difference between truth and fact...

I don't even want to split hairs....there is enough of that.  If you (collective you) want to stand up and declare that these allegations against Kavanaugh by Ford et al are true.......then HAVE HIM ARRESTED!!  You go ahead and put your big feelings and big mouths where the law is.  Where YOU can be convicted of false statements and reports.  And YOU can be sued in civil court for damages when you can't corroborate a SINGLE thing you accuse someone of.  I'm waiting!

This piece is very well written and sums up a lot of my discomfort with Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court nominee. The man who wrote it obviously leans right (he made me eye roll a few times, so you guys will like those parts!).

I read it......nah.   Every Supreme Court justice has a political bend.....it's the whole reason the Democrats did what they did to him.  If this becomes the standard of the opposition party,  to ruin a nominee, then we've lost MUCH more than we lose if Kavanaugh and the Republicans allow this tactic to succeed.

Nah....I say to hell with Feinstein and the rest of her lot.  They said they would do whatever it took to keep him off the bench the day he was nominated.....but they went too far.  I think before this is over, it will be shown that they set back the idea that women should come forward to expose abusers.....not advance it.  That's not a good thing in my world.

I'll be proud of my country when Kavanaugh is confirmed later this week.

This is a good article.  Like Stacers, I rolled my eyes more than a few times.  IT should be noted that I am a registered Dem but tend to vote for the best candidate and the one that I think will accomplish what is best for our country.  It should be noted that I was one of those girls that was assaulted while in college and was encouraged by the school counselor and my roommates to not report because we were all drinking underage and were in a state park after dark.  Besides, I had been kissing him so what was he supposed to think!?!?!?!  This whole thing has just made me sick to my stomach.
