Veteran 186 Coquitlam, BC | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Crazy Canucks! Skazi - 2006-03-12 5:40 PM ok did 41M this Saturday it was unreal with one exception, my left hand went numb and I am still down by about 10% of power in that arm, being new to biking I never knew this could happen and ended up stressing out yesterday afternoon thinking stroke, heart attack etc until I read about it Skazi <------ relieved What a great ride, I love biking, lucky me I love running and now love biking!!! Go everyone go! I know about numb hands too... last year when I was doing more biking I ended up having numb hands for a week after a ride... the problem might be that your handle bars are too low and you are leaning to much on them as you ride... try to get a riser for your handle bars and see how that feels.... Master 1320 Chilliwack, BC | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Crazy Canucks! paco_pancho - 2006-03-13 6:06 PM Nicely done.... I know you are a runner... any good advice??? For what? Going longer? Getting faster? Training injury free? All of the above? Tip one, what every you do do not break the 10% rule when adding distance. Increase your mileage gradualy. Nobody ever got hurt running up hill. Never-ever-run full out unless you want injuries. Ice your knees when they get sore. YOGA/Stretching Its doing wonders for me. |

Master 1641 Seattle, California | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Crazy Canucks! I'll try to post a text version. Let me see if I can get this to work. Also when you are downloading sometimes (I'm not sure why) the file will download without the extention xls. So you can try to download it and then rename the file Crazy Canucks.xls and then your computer will recognize it as an excel file. K... I'll try the text... should be up in a minute. |

I just bought a book called "ChiRunning: A Revolutionary Approach to Effortless, Injury-free Running" I am about 35 pages in, not bad so far... it is supposed to show you how to implemennt Tai'chi concepts into running which would allow a person to run injury free!!!! I will let you all know how it goes... I wonder if there is a book called "ChiBiking" ????? |

I bought a bike in Florida, and tried to ride its wheels off while I was there. (The weather was perfect what else could I do?) I'm now WAY ahead of my target pace. (it included ZERO minutes for my vacation) Get out there and RIDE!! |

Expert 647 Sarnia, Ontario | Subject: RE: March Challenge - Crazy Canucks! You don't need to be too excited about the bike. It is a Shwinn MTB. Too good a deal to resist. I was sorta looking for a cheap MTB. I'm still looking for the shiney new triathlon bike soon I hope. |
