I can give you my thoughts. I didn't have a lot of weight to drop, but I've ditched the last few pounds recently and I'm not too strict on my diet.

1) I try to eat in The Zone. I admit that I have cheat meals, but it doesn't affect me too badly. The increase in muscle mass (see #2) helps. I try to eat more fruits and vegetables, and less processed foods. I also drink 3/4 of a gallon of water daily.
2) I do Crossfit, albiet only 4 days a week. It's constantly varied, intense workouts in a relatively short time frame.
3) I've eased way back on my mileage and have spent more time doing explosive, interval training. Recently, I've done group training at my local gym in lieu of running. I'm able to maintain a higher intensity over a longer period of time. The program we have is the Les Mills series. I mainly do Body Attack and Body Combat.

These principles work for the people I know who've tried it. It takes time, but they're solid.

Keep up the good work everyone. You look great!

I'll play:

Before tri training:

pretri

After 12 weeks:

WIP

Still have 6 weeks to go before my first tri!  I think I was a little over 200 lbs, now I'm 175ish but I've put some weight back on- prob due to muscle, idk.  Its not mentally healthy for me to step on a scale.

Hi all,

I am currently training for the Hyner View Mountain Challenge and decided this year to incorporate some cross training into my workouts.  I hurt my IT Band last year, was running way to much up/downhill so this year I went with less running and doing P90x.  My pics from Day 1, 30, and 60 are on my blog here:

 http://michaelsminddump.com

 Got another 30 to go!!!Laughing

Ok I will play. I am in progress, so more of a before and during, but this is 70 days or so. Started 12/17/09.

Hope to be sub 230 for my first sprint tri in June, and Sub 200 by the end of the year.

Alright...I'm In.....
3rd one July 07 at my heaviest 250-255ish. Flipping burgers at my 1st child's 1st Birthday.
1st and 2nd are from my 1st two tries this year(march 09). Down 50 lbs. Could proably lose another 10-15lbs, but I feel so much healthier and happier. Its crazy when I look at how bad of shape I let myself get into when my kids were born.

first, WARNING! these pics may hurt your eyes.

second, I cannot for the life of me figure out why the picture of my cat is coming along with the other pics.

third, the first pic of me is two nights before delivering twins, and my highest ever weight of about 225. (I made this series a long time ago to email to a friend to prove you could get your abs back after having twins)

The last pic was me at my best. I've slipped a little because i eat too much. Currently, I look most like the June 2007 pic but a little better abs.

Wow! I love seeing the results of everyone's hard work. Thanks for the encouragement, especially on getting abs back after babies. It helps me, too, to be realistic about how much time it can take to lose the weight and change my body shape after pregnancy.

"You know," My day started off pretty lousy.
Just didn't feel like doing a darn thing and the thought off biking in the rain, well, not my greaest joy. So I turn on the computer, go to BT.com for some inspiration. Lets me just say to all of you who posted your before and after pictures, "Thanks"!!! You are just the inspiration I needed to get off my fat butt and brave the elements.

"Simply Amazing"!!!

"Congrats"!!!

"WOW"!!!

Wow everyone looks great. I am so impressed with your progress!!

I have had quite the journey with weight loss.

About 10 years ago I weighed in at 200 Lbs (Possibly More). That was right after Highschool graduation and through the first 3 years of college.

(I am on the far right. Everyone loves a good nerdy band uniform!)

And here in College on the Left hand side (Still around 200lbs)

This is after my First Half Marathon in Sept 2007 right around 180lbs

And this was me late February 2009 around 150lbs.

Right now I dont have a set goal but I do currently weigh 145 and have a tiny bit to go. A flat stomach I will never have but I feel so much better than when I was 200.

WW and tri training have been my close and dear friends!!! And for the first time ever in my life I am wearing a size 10. I am down from a size 18/20 in those first two pictures!
