Artemis - 2008-07-11 2:10 PM I don't know what dolmas are, so I can't comment on if they would be good or not.
Grape leaves stuffed with rice and spices. Yummy mediterian treat.

I have had them.  Pretty good, although I think I prefer the stuffed squash.

Bill G...  Happy travels... Hmm, Co... I'm thinking mtn biking outside of Frisco or Dillon???? Gonna be anywhere near there??

I am toying with the idea of heading up there, but I really want to hit Salida and check out Absolute Bikes (Shameless Plug).  They really support the guys and gals that do the GDR and Tour Divide Race every summer and would love to support them by renting (and maybe buying) my new toy (Full Suspension 29" Mt Bike) from them.  Depends on the costs and if they have a case to carry it home with.

That way I can head up around Monarch Pass and have some fun - as long as I don't puke my brains out at altitude!!!

one word.... WATER!!!!!!  oh and IB      You like to follow the GDR???  If you're looking for some reading material on the flight, check out this month Outside , great article on it.

If you're going to head that way, I'd also consider rafting (though be careful there's been several accidents in Black's Canyon this year) but the water has been FABULOUS due to the great winter we had.  *sigh*  wish I could go *sigh*  There are several outfitters in Monte Vista.

I am picking Outside up before I get on the plane!  I keep in touch with a rider from last year (Jeff Kerby) who is part of the article.

No time for rafting - this a work trip so I will definitely hit up the biking though!

I love white water rafting.  We took the kids on a morning horse back ride and then rafting down the colorado in the afternoon a couple of years ago - what a blast!

I know about the water.  Going to start with water and Outside and keep on drinking.  Last time I acclimated 1 day at least before heading up, no time for that this time.  Heading straight up!  Should be interesting!

Sounds like  a puke ride is calling!!!!  Definitely no alcohol till afterwards. Next time you're looking for an hb outfitter in Co, let me know... sis has worked for a few good ones, and bad ones... trust me, there's one more then one out there that I would not put my kids on one of their horses, much less myself.  SHe was hired to wrangle and has ended up having to train (and in some cases break)

HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

No problem.  It is always good to remind people the best way to acclimate themselves.

Just reading on the Monarch Crest Trail - Starts at 11K and stays there for views on both sides of the continental divide.  Sound pretty puke worthy?  I found my terrain!!!!  Should be fun.  At least this time I will have gears to choose from!

Can we say "VERTIGO" ?!?!?!?

You'll laugh when you read the part about Jeff...  by the way... doea he have a twitch??  If you don't yet know what I mean, I'm not explaining you'll get it when you read it.

Yes, we now have two Bill Nibbs. No mixing them up now.

Um. I meant a new Nibbs thread -- number XXI....

I already know that we have two Nibbs named Bill.

Note to Bill and Bill: You are now officially Nibbs. In case you didn't know.

Jen, the secret to getting a good streak going is being on Nibbs when everyone else is gone. Then you can post away to your hearts content and no one will break your streak. I seem to usually time my visits that way, but not on purpose. LOL

Hm, I'm wondering if NOW is a good time.

I'll see what I can do.

Hmm...so I should come up with elaborate tracking schemes and figure out when that's most likely.

Or I could just post a lot all the time.

Post lots, all the time, seems to work well.
