I need a neck massage...

The last couple long rides, the muscles on my upper back, between the shoulder blades, close the neck, get REALLY sore.  And they still hurt.

Is it your body trying to adapt to the new position?

Nah, had a tri bike before.  It started hurting on the old bike AND the new bike.  But now I notice it during my long swims too.  It think it just due to the increased time working out.

I think it just needs to get a little stonger and maybe a little rest.  Oh yeah, and a massage.

Untrue. I just  have an unusually large vocabulary. Though I HAVE see the Three Amigos and it's pretty darned funny.

Sorry, very true.

I get the word of the day and have been for a month or so. Most of what has been sent is nothing new.

mr2tony - 2008-09-17 10:27 AM  But glasses during BCBC is HOTTTT! Glasses are just hot. Thank you, Tina Fey, for helping millions of women out there realize this fact.

I usually take them off because they always end up getting knocked off or smushed into my nose.  Not pleasant.

Apparently, smushed is not a word.  Weird.

Wow. You get a little physical huh? Nice. I've been married for seven years, so there's no physicality allowed during BCBC anymore. It's strictly verboten!!!

Or my husband is just a klutz.  Either way.

Ouch, dude. I have a Master's. Had thought about the PhD, but it would have been in something useless (Literature of some kind, since that's what I have my Master's in) so I figured it wasn't worth another 8 years probably without any funding...

Ha.  I was just about to say that it's probably smarter to get "just a Master's" than spend 8 years on "useless" PhD.  I'm not knocking the PhD of course.

Okay TAN, here's a mini-poll.  You must list 3 nerdy things about yourself.  The rules, they must be true and you can't try to diminish your nerdiness by following up with "cool" things about yourself.

I decided that I didn't want to be a professor THAT badly, so I figured the Master's was probably good enough. And it's not like I even use it in my current job.

1. Now that I'm single again, I have a system to ensure that all my dishes and silverware get equal usage.

2. I practice heel-and-toeing in everyday driving (that's more cool-nerdy than nerdy-nerdy though)

3. I think of a lot of everyday situations in terms of physics equations.

Haha! I was just thinking about being nerdy this morning, since I watched "Fringe" last night and I remembered how much I loved the X-Files, love Lost, liked Alias, etc.

PS - nerdy tidbit - the guy who plays the crazy scientist on Fringe played Denethor (evil brother of King Theoden) in "Return of the King".

1.) When I was a kid, I could probably recite all of Star Wars Episode IV by heart. And yes, I've seen all 6 (though episodes I thru III suck a$$). I've also seen all 3 Matrix movies (the last two in theatres) and all 3 Lord of the Rings movies (all three in theatres, the third one, twice), the latter, which I own in the extended DVD versions.

2.) I knew more about dinosaurs when I was 6 or 7 years old than any little girl should ever know.

3.) I have been in several "gifted and talented" programs - the best one was called "Young Scholars" when I was in 6th grade - basically, they took us away every Friday and we "learned" stuff - which really meant, reenacting our own fractured versions of Greek mythology, often with highly sexual undertones, and writing really dirty writings-in-a-round.
