Hi Monsters!

I just visited our spreadsheet for the first time and added my miles...looked like some folks are starting over for week 2 and some are entering cumulative miles, so I had to read back and we're to be entering cumulative yet, correct?  My goal is 100 miles, so my %s are correct.

Thanks for putting the spreadsheet together.  Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Yes, I did the math & it does look like we're to be putting in our cumulative miles in each week.  I corrected mine (example:  last week I ran 2 miles, this week I've run 4.1 so far.  I've entered 6.1 for this week as my total mileage so I'm 19.12% to goal.)

Some spread sheets are a bit easier to work with, but now that we've got this one figured out...onward & upward!!!

Oh, forgot to say:  2.7 this morning.  Tomorrow is a "rest" day.  Actually, an extra 12-hour shift & big party afterwards, so I adjusted my training plan to add in a rest day.

I'll double up on Saturday & do a run & swim.

Chat with you guys later!

At this rate you'll be done by the 20th! Do you get extra points for meeting your goal early? or do you just get to push the goal higher?

Happy Friday Monsters!!!

It wasn't easy, but I got my 8 mile run in last night.  Had to do about half of it elliptically (3.8 miles) as my achilles is acting up a bit...at least my gym has a treadmill right next to an elliptical trainer.  I just had to keep "stuff" on both so nobody got on one of the two I was working with so as not to lose my momentum   At least the gym wasn't crowded last night.

I'm about 44% done, but have a 1/2 mary on the 19th.  (Tapering down and recovering will slow my mileage down)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Was running for time this morning, came up .07 mile short of my 4 mile mark.  Did not realize that until I went into the route tracker and looked at it.  Oh well 3.93 miles for me today.

Finished 5.1 miles today running along the water and through the woods.  Beautiful fall day with the leaves turning colors.  Can't get any better than this. Logged in my miles and I'm just over 50% for my goal. Hooray.

GO MONSTERS!

2.8 on the beach this morning.  It was my very first beach run.  Nice environment for running.  I'm at >36% now.

Does everyone know how to use the spreadsheet?  Remember:  If it's not logged in the spreadsheet, it doesn't count!  If it's not in your BT log, it doesn't count!  Those were the rules set forth by our challenge master.

Have a great weekend!

My planned runs for the week:

Tuesday - 40 minutes

Thursday - 26 minutes

Saturday - 35 minutes

Should be about 8-9 miles all together.  My plan is a minutes based plan this month, so I'm not sure about my mileage.  As the weeks pass, if my mileage gets lean, I'll add some on if needed.

Is there not a 2-3% margin of error on GPs  . I always hear differing reports from GArmins and such when our sunday running group  runs the same route .  Last week we ran a 11 miler ,  2 runners  said  it was short by 0,2  and 3 others said  its right on the money.

Another 5.12 miles for me today, so I'm at 46.4% for the month!  Was only 38* out, so I had to break out the headband and thin running gloves for the first time this fall...

I don't know about you but I would rather add layers than deal with the heat & humidity that our team mates in the south deal with.  Great job on your challenge mileage!

Maybe you should have took some of my miles. :-)

I've only got 7 out 40 miles for 17.5 % and the month is almost half over. I thought I was sandbagging with only 40 miles. I need to pull it together and hit the pavement.
