Did you do any recon this past weekend or are you planning on doing it next weekend?  And will you still be able to join us that morning or is your flight too early?  And man you must rack up the FF miles...

Recon this Saturday (9th), not too early...maybe 10 or 11?  I'm going to grab some spray chalk so we can clearly mark out where the path and turnarounds are.  I'll need at least one other person that's going to be at the tri out there to do the education of the masses on the day of....in case I'm not there.

Second Q: There's a very small chance I'll be there. Flight's at 2:30P, which doesn't leave a lot of time...but the airline releases seats a couple days before, and I may be able to switch to the 5:40 without costing the client another grand, in which case I could make it.

Lastly...I pictured this as a no-frills, grass-roots kinda thing.  No bike racks, transition is bikes laying on the grass, self-timed, self-reported, pick your own distance.....for your workout - all you really need to run that training day is one person to watch equipment so it's not stolen, and one counting people getting in/out of the water - just in case, and one taking pictures. Pictures or it didn't happen. 

I will be working with my sponsors, creative consultants, and spiritual advisors, and of course, Hillary Biscay to square away the details in the next week. I'll post a full run-down likely by Thursday.

Rick - I can come out and help you do the recon.  I'll pm you with my cell phone.  Where do you want to meet?

Thanks for all the work you're putting in.  I might be able to make it there to help too, will check my calendar (that's code for ask my wife).

This will be the first (or possibly 2nd or 3rd if I get around to it) swim that I do with a wetsuit.  That will make it interesting I suppose.  My plan is to get out this weekend a couple of times and swim in a local pond/lake with the wetsuit on but we'll see...
