Expert 1007 Hattiesburg, Mississippi | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II Good Morning Folks! Another lovely day down here in the deep south. I am off for a short (taper) run and then I am off for my new bike fitting!! Somehow I missed the call from my LBS yesterday afternoon? I was kind of hoping my bike would come on Monday, now I might have the temptation to use my new bike for the race tomorrow. OMG, I am not sure what to do! Well first I will go do the fitting, and see how that goes, obviously I will be doing a (short) ride later today and I guess I'll see then. If I am not 100% comfortable I will stay with my old buddy for sure. I'll check back later! |

Garlic chicken with rosemary potatoes. Yummy! Amazing what happens when I actually cook! Now having a glass of wine and unwinding. dinner? got left overs...? just trying to figure out what we will be having?!? want brownies? i have a few. theyre going fast. I need dessert! Then again, I really don't but I want some! you mean to tell me you are not opening a box of girl scout cookies? or are they all gone? Shoot, those are long gone. With hubby home the past few weeks and my boys, they didn't last long! They saved you from a bad experience. True! Those things are evil! Dee from you found the soft baked cookies from Pepperidge Farm I think. They are right next to the Milanos in my store. But they are huge and so soft and YUMMY.. Needless to say the weekend we traveled the bag didn't stand a chance. I recommend the chocolate chunk.
Edited to add - Like Phil would say "Toppage" Phil wouldn't say that - he'd type TOPpage. |

I asked mine to set the alram for 5:00 so I could get up early and swim before he has to go to work. Did he listen to me? Noooooooooo, he sets the alarm for 5:15. Not good. I needed to be out the door by then. Grrrrrr!!!!!! So I made coffee and was enjoying my quiet morning until he sits down and starts slurping his cereal. I wanted to kill him!!!! He was already on my bad side and then he does something that he know annoys me. I was so thankful for him to leave this morning. So now I shall now swim tonight. rant off/
What's an "alram"? Yeah, we do things like that to get back at what you wives do to us. |

You won't have enough time to be used to it after a fitting today. It's tough, but stick with the old one for this race and use the new one for the next race. That's what I was thinking initially but then it all changed today at the LBS; since I needed new pedals and hence new cleats, and since I only have one pair of shoes right now... I sort of don't have a choice; I have to use my new bike. However, the fit feels good, it may take some time to get used to the new saddle; still haven't decided if I will go back to my old one since it was a bit uncomfortable. The new Speedplay peddles are GREAT. I love 'em. May have to drop the seat hight by a cm, but since the bike part of the race is only is only 18mi I am pretty sure I can deal with it. Overall I felt pretty comfortable on the bike, maybe some tweaking here or there, but for now it's good. I may hate myself tomorrow but life's to short to worry the small crap. We'll see what happens later when I start getting into the longer distances... |

Not racing but my sister, BIL, and niece (4yo) and nephew (7yo) are coming to visit for next week on Saturday. I get next week off work. Yeah.. Oh and I get to visit the doctor tomorrow. Apparently the off and on ear pain I have had for 3 months (comes and goes) is deciding to stay this time. Stacie Ooooo, not good. Get that looked at. Perhaps from swimming? I wish - but I don't know how to swim. I can't remember the last time I was in a pool trying. I thought most of the symptoms was like swimmers ear just from shower in the morning and then showering at night after workouts. But this time it is staying so we will see how it goes tomorrow at the fun fun doctor. Blah.
stacie. feel better soon. i hope the doctor figures out whats up so you can get rid of that darn ear ache. i woke up last night w one (went away thankfully) but they hurt like you know what.
Ear Infection. 1500 mg a day of oral antibiotics and a antibiotic ear drop every 3 hours for 10 days. Fun fun. |
