Got a 4 mile run in and I biked outside for 15 miles. I live in Mass and I wore shorts and a T shirt. It was over 65. Windy as hell and I made NO speed records on the bike. It sure did feel good to ride outsideCool

come to find out the Fitness Center (where all the ST equipment is, and the Treadmills, ellipticals et al) is going to be closed 12/14-18......

the rest of the Y will be open, meaning (for me) the pool, the track and spinning classes....

but w the Fitness Center closed, its gonna make getting those ST sessions in that i have as a goal lets just say VERY INTERESTING.

but.....im UP to the CHALLENGE.

and im determined to IMPROVISE and get em done!

Sqeezed my run in tonight between my daughter's soccer games.  Feels so good to log it on the spreadsheet! 

Going to need some SERIOUS motivation to get a run or ride in tomorrow morning before I head out to Vegas with my hubby.  My brain is already shifting to vacation mode...

You guys have me laughing... I've had too much steak, probably a little too much wine. And the Bills are losing! Ugh! My day off is usually Friday but we are going out of town for the weekend. My big challenge is going to be (not having another glass of the wine) and getting up at 5 am to make up for the workout I'll most likely not get to on Saturday.

After my fatty processed dinner from Del Taco all I could think about was that picture of a nice juicy steak.  Mmmmm...Had to have a glass of milk and oreos to get over it.  Embarassed

ST can be push up, sit ups, etc.  Or you could screw the resistance down tight on a spin bike and thrash your quads...  I think that would still count..



im always up for a good quad thrashing, ANDY.

sometimes i get myself 'in box' and forget there are ENDLESS OPTIONS!

Are they doing improvements?  How frustrating!  Is there another Y around you can use?


they ARE doing improvements, ERICA....all new machines.  sounds like its gonna be UBER COOL when its done, its the in the meantime that IS frustrating and a total pain the arse.

we do have a reciprocal Y but for me its like a 45-50 min drive.  DOABLE, but not likely.

the only thing i needed to worry about was how to get in my ST sessions, cuz the rest of the Y is open/available.  so that still leaves spin classes, the pool, and the indoor track open....


what has me in a 'wad' is that they are doing this holiday fitness challenge, where log time in the Fitness Center....but now....DUH....the fitness center is gonna be closed for a week.

my spin and swims 'count', but....

whatever.

the biggest challenge is overcoming my often inflexible/rigid personality that has a difficult time 'seeing' all the options that are available.

be.  like.  water.  that's my mantra.

there always a way THROUGH, you just got to seek it out (like water does....)
