I must say it was FUN! It looks like I might have to hit the treadmill tonight. I didn't make it outside today.... Bleh. There was a local 5K here today, too. I opted to not do it because cold I wouldn't have been able to breathe. Cold and I don't get along well. I start wheezing like a 5-pack a day smoker. |

It's so early in the month - grab hold of those reigns and take control! I won't mention who is being a fruitcake again today. Eh yeah. I will. <---- This is who. I had good intentions. But yeah. I'll just add myself to the fruitcake category now. I really need to do something soon though, or the Fruitcake Lady is gonna come knocking at my door. |

Saturday afternoon was a Christmas party (morning spent cooking). I had planned a 9 mile run Sunday afternoon in the absolutely beautiful weather. But DH had a different outing planned for us. We went and selected our Christmas present... a puppy. Spent the afternoon up at the breeders having fun with the pups and the parents... so no run. Today is pouring buckets and we have to go back up to the breeders after work to finalize papers. We will get the puppy this weekend ... german shepherd. However, if all goes well, I will get my 9 miles in on Tuesday, rain or no rain! |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: December "Don't be a Fruitcake" Challenge! No run yesterday. I did yoga at home instead. I had a little bike "mishap" on Saturday. I can't call it an accident. I didn't think much of it because it was so minor. It has been raining a lot here, as it always does. About halfway through my Saturday ride, I put my foot down at re-group location and my cleat slipped on the wet pavement and I fell over. I was fine except for a bruise on my hand and on my hip. The brake hood was tweaked, too. It rode fine except for dropping the chain twice, which it never does. I took the bike to the shop when I was done with the ride. They fixed it back up to good as new. Anyway, yesterday I was really, super, duper tired so I bagged the run. My wrist and shoulder and hip hurt, too. I'm still sore today. We shall see what happens in the pool and at yoga class this morning. Dee, I might reduce my running amount due to the injury. Is that ok? |
