Veteran 243 Cuernavaca, Mexico | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Am I too late? Can I still join? I’ve been thinking about my goals for this month. 1) Spend quality time (not only feeding, transporting or doing homework) with one of my two kids every day. 2) Follow my training plan every day. 3) Every day do at least one of the tasks I have been postponing to do at work or at home because the urgent gets in the way. 4) Sleep at least 7 hours a day (this is the most difficult challenge of all for me). 5) I also need to loose 2.1 Kgs, any chance of squeezing in this fifth goal? Thanks! Good night! |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge van_paulus - 2011-03-04 1:52 PM Got a short pool session in today , doing drills i remember from a tri coach , leg crossed , fists , every 3 breaths , etc . is it bad karma to swim when one has a sniffely nose and congested chest ? On the plus side The moisture did wonders for me though.
I find that swimming with a cold causes everything to move into my face and throat (hard to breath and phlem build up). If you don't get this, I'd say go for it! |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge owl_girl - 2011-03-04 8:43 PM Freak out moment!!!! I take meticulous care of my tri bike. This afternoon, I noticed a piece of metal stuck in the back tire! Arrrraaahhh!!!! Bad timing!!!! I took my bike down to the bike shop in hopes that they would have a good 650 tire. I knew my chances of finding that tire would be slim to none in my rural, 700, loving part of the state. Anyway, the guy that does most of the work on my bike said that he would take a chance and run my tires, as is, in the race rather than put crappy, slow tires on the bike. He then proceeded to tell me that if I flat, there will be plenty of people behind me to tell someone to pick me up. Thanks, man. He also told me I better get some new tires ordered after the race. Does anyone have any luck with a particular tire? What do you like? It's tire poll time, my friends! BTW....I'm shooting for the women's course record. It's quite do-able if the weather cooperates.
That sucks! Hopefully the metal will sit pretty until after the race. |

Not too late at all! There will probably only be 4 slots on the spreadsheet, but you can track as many as you want on the side. I had too many once and just chatted about my progress to help keep my motivation up. |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge So this morning I have planned to go to hot yoga... I am a little intimidated because I'm going alone, I don't really know what to expect, I'm not a graceful swan, and I'm chubby. Oh, I also have a smidgen of social anxiety (self diagnosed) that sometimes keeps me from doing things like this. I'm telling you because it will help give me the final push into the building after I park the car, which I anticipate will be the most challenging part of my morning.
Here's to flexi body and good health! And hopefully a welcoming beginner friendly atmosphere. |

Hav e fun with it! I keep saying I want to try that but the studion that does it is a big drive from my house and I just don't want to drive 45 minutes or more one way to do a class. |

Very cute how Lisa and Suicide have pitched in to care for Biscuits. AAAAARGH disgusting fishy belch from Suicide. Actually, froggy--she's left a half-eaten frog under the dining-room table. Thanks, Suicide. I know that's just for me. Oh, and a cockroach leg too? How thoughtful!!! |
