Okay, first week down...I did both workouts this weekend, I don't recommend that at all-although, those of you doing it every day know how I feel, oooh those sore stomachs.

I do like the overall core workout though!

Thanks MissCullen for getting us started!

just reporting in
I did my ab workout on Friday and Sunday - the round the world routine.
Saturday I almost passed out in the city so I was wisked home and put to bed.

I will consider that my day off.

It real interesting to do them on a daily basis. Doing the routine four consecutive days is probably almost more ab work then I have done all year!

Haha Laura, you did a good job with that pic. We are thinking of doing weekly updates. This week maybe we can get a better photographer.

Hard core baiting going on here, man!  :P

Maybe it was the models that weren't co-operating with the photographer?

Week 1 report: I doubled-down on Sunday to make up for the 50 that I missed on Saturday. So I did 7x50 crunches in week 1. Unfortunately, I haven't been doing that "around the world" thing that I promised. Just took my measurements. Somehow I doubt the 1/4 inch improvement is real. Oh well, on with week 2!!! Goal is 55/day, plus 3x "around the world".

I was getting confused with the workout because the graphics for the oblique crunches and the oblique leg extensions were the same. jldicarlo referred me to the source website and the new graphics explain alot. Hope this helps any other confused people:

P.s. Completed my first week (although slightly wrong).

I also started a new thread by mistake - oops - meant to be a reply

150 - around the world variation
Boy oh boy something must be waking up in my core because last nights exercises hurt. It was kind of cool to feel like my oblique muscles might be waking up some, it felt like I was beginning to really lift and crunch just a little bit. I did work in some different ab exercises as well. I don't care what kind of ab and core exercises I do each day, just as long as I am doing them and meeting the challenge!

I can't believe I am actually doing this.

Hey thanks Vanessa, some of us were confused. Funny enough, I've been to this guys website before. He does the New Balance half ironman in Victoria every year and he posted a race report on his website last year. The official site for the HIM linked to his site.

Yeah - I had that problem too. I noticed today that I have been doing a lot of the exercises wrong, but I figure at least we are trying!

I vow to do better then my first week.

I am still in guys, although my counting of reps has been questionable. I will work on that this week! I am going to declare that my base ab rep number is 100 and I will go up from there.

Just uped my routine to 110! My friend came by tonight and we did some abs together. She's a dancer so shes got a couple of awesome core exercises up her sleeve. I showed her a few that I had learned from the round the world routine.

I showed her my photos too -- we laughed, we even took three photos of her abs, we laughed some more. The photos are really motivating and she vowed to stop by tomorrow to do some more ab work - this challenge is contageous.

Continued my AB Challenge last night but I added the Core Workout and WOW, that was great and I will continue doing it regularly. My Obliques were killing me and its great to realize a weakness so I can start working on it. Anyway, keep up the good work...
