Awesome job everyone. I'm at 13, 500 having just completed my longest swim workout ever (2,000 meters). Just 1,350 meters to go so should surpass my goal of 14850 Monday or Tuesday.

Make that 8 people who have made their goal. I just noticed that Micawber made his goal. Maybe I shouldn't be updating the spreadsheet while drinking my weekly glass of red wine.

Good job Micawber.

DONE! Laughing Finally met my goal yesterday morning with my tri club. A final 1500m for a total of 10282 M this month which is 100% more than Decembers challenge. Now I'll slow down a little and start getting the form in. This challenge was really hard but motivating for me. Congrats to all that have finished, for the others you stil have a few more days to hit the pool good luck to all and I'll see you in the Feb run challenge.

Yes, I got done for February too, thanks! I had the chance to get an extra swim in last week and decided not to leave any final distance until Tuesday, the last night. I've seen Murphy's Law in action before.

Congratulations to everyone in the challenges! Congrats even to those who don't make their goal, because just trying should have helped your swimming improve.

I like the avitar.  It looks just fine.   I have my last swim of the month Tuesday night. Talk about last minute.  I can't believe I'm missing just 50 meters to complete the month. What a bonehead move on my part.

Cool avatar!

I still have 4300 yards to swim. Going for a long swim tonight; not sure if I'll get it all in tonight, will finish tomorrow night if not.

Just looked at James' avitar and it is hard to make out the text.  Compared to the pic of the guy on the bench feeling shame I don't know if its the resolution of the avitar or some -type of technical computer thingy.

( James did you  participate in the original dec challange. ?? if so you jumped the gun its only Jan 30th

Shoot - hadn't seen it that small. Back to the design board...

In my case I will complete my swim tomorrow night but I was also in the January Team challenge and I think one of my teammates may not complete her goal....so my Avatar might have to be made into a GIF - Success, Fail, Success, Fail,....

I feel slightly insane--but I actually think I'm gonna make it... by like 50 yds!!!

But my legs and arms are killing me!! It's my own fault though. I sorta didn't swim for the first 10 days of the month. Hmm. So I've been throwing in extra swims left and right!

But here's the great thing!! It's always been my dream to be able to swim a 50 in under a minute consistently. I know, it's not much of a dream, but it seemed completely unreachable for me!

This morning, I swam 4 150s with a 5 second rest between each one. Here were my times:
2:55, 3:00, 2:58, 2:58!!!!!!

I owe it all to the absurd swim challenge. (o: !!!

I'll be posting my final swim tomorrow. BTW, my hair is becoming brittle and lackluster... again, I owe it all to the swim challenge.

Finished this month with a great swim to put me over my goal by 6000 yards. (I wasn`t sandbagging, my job and the surf cooperated with my swim schedule). Did a 1000 Meter Time Trial and set a PR (14:40 in my second ever try) by over 30 seconds from mid-December. Hopefully by the time I`M THE ONLY SWIMMER LEFT it will be under 13:00

Nice job to those of you who reached your goal. See you next month!

Okay - you asked for it. Of all the people in the December and January Challenge I was hoping you would fail as I am so tired of seeing you in your speedo in your Avatar....

What are you talking about.  I still have to finish swimming.  But for the record, when I do finish ( 50m to go, I think I could do that in the tub tonight after my kids are done with their bath) I will be looking at a goal of 24200m for Feb.

We also need a new sigline for those who want to change thiers.  I have paid my dues for  the Dec swim challange, but will be proud to show my colours  on the Jan Side Challange.

I've got 1300 meters to go tonight but in my tri swim class the instructor is timing us over our distance. So 1500 meters for that alone.

Goal was 14000, and I finished strong today, and ended out with 14350.

I guess that means I'm in for 15785 yds. for February.
