So, anyone know the current water temp? Has this been wetsuit legal in the past? Do they have wetsuit strippers?

weather is looking great for Sunday.

Does anyone have the points in the bike course where the tricky descents are. I like to ride them when I do my car tour of the course.

Bike is In race trim ready to go

Temp is below 76. Last I saw it was near 70. Wetsuit legal for years and years. Yes, strippers are there.

Anybody else having trouble concentrating at work this week? I completed my final race simulation training this weekend, which went well, and fully in taper mode this week. I'm as ready as i am going to be...can't wait to leave work Friday mid-day...

Unfortunately work is keeping my training on the back burner. But yes its hard not thinking about all the things that need to come together on sunday. And all the things I need to get at store before I go (gels, tires, new stick of body glide, etc.) Swam in the wetsuit yesterday, and it felt real good.

Yeah definitely not focus. I'm feeling good. I took off Thur-Wed, so i get a nice little vacation. I'll leave Friday morning and get down there sometime around dinner. Then can relax and just do registration and bike drop on Saturday.

Agree was long week. I drove 11 hours yesterday and got into town around 9:00 PM last night. Will take next two days to preview course and chill. Windy today (13mph) but race day calls for 7 so that's nice. Good luck to all

I'm thinking of doing Augusta for my 1st HIM... do you recommend it? Is the bike course a lot hilly? I live in Quebec City... so I can manage the hills... but I wanted to give myself a chance for a 1st HIM.

I'll be looking for your advices on this event

Thanks!

A great first HIM. I did it this past year and really enjoyed it. I've done a few other HIM and this is a great venue. The swim is fast, bike is not very hilly, but a few little rollers to keep you honest. The run is flat. Good crowd support on the run as well. If my work schedule permits I will be back next year.
So in essence, go for it.
