Sorry, this one doesn't count. He killed one of his own passengers. A passenger that was dumb enough to get into a car with someone he knew was drunk and then drive around looking for a good place to "jump" the car. Not quite equivalent to being mowed down while changing a flat tire.

Now go find another one.

Fair enough,  I'll go with probation for killing the other driver and then arrested later and having probation revoked for beating your wife......you can't make this stuff up.

From your story, though: "According to the arrest warrant, Ludwig is accused of slapping his wife on the back of the head. Officials say the incident started when Ludwig wanted his wife to write him a check for a house payment and she would not until she had taken a bath."

You know, when I read stuff like that, I feel pretty good about how my life turned out.

My biggest fear, is most of the Nation is made up of folks like that.  I just don't run in the same circles.

I used to watch "Cops" a long time ago and realize FAR too many people are exactly like they show.
