Dan -  That was AWESOME!!  The same rambling, disconnected, I have absolutely no f-ing idea what I'm saying dialog as real life.

I need to look up Poutine. It can't be any worse than Sushi though.

The only tech part of the entire ride is the backside of Cats peak, but its only about 300meters everything else is pretty easy and fast-ish. If you want to climb Cats peak you will have to wait for the rest of the group at the intersection

With all this talk of Poutine maybe we should move breakfast to the Heart Attack Grill

Their flatliner fries with gravy and mozzarella are about as close as you'll get this side of the 49th parallel.

T - I think breakfast will have to be more like 10 in order for us to squeeze a teeny trail run in (just 20-30 min) and get down to Kokobelli.

D - None of Usery is very technical. The backside of Cats Peak has the most technical spot where you'll do a little of getting behind your seat if you don't ride a dual suspension. Just enough to keep you sharp. It used to be some technical ascending but its a little more sanitized now.

Serious? Last time I did Cat's ascent, I got stuck on right behind the bottom bracket - I've got a hardtail but front suspension - and I had to get off and carry over....

What's changed to make it better? Someone pull that rock ledge down?

Im assuming your talking about going north to south up cats peak? Yes, its still here, i usually go south to north which is much safer unless you want to go airbourne

We climb cats peak counterclockwise. Starting south and climbing north...is that what you are referring to Milton?

Yes, I always forget to use counterclockwise/clockwise when talking about routes

Oh. That wouldn't be so bad. I've only ever done it clockwise...

Clockwise is a shorter more technical climb, with a longer more gradual descent. Counter is a longer climb with a shorter more technical descent. As I am sure you all figured!

this is for the usery mtn'ers. i was thinking that 6 is alittle early. how does 730 sound? i figured it would take less than 2 hours ride, which would put us at breakfest around 930 10ish.

I think some of the Mtn Bikers are going to do a Usery loop after the mtn bike.  Unfortunately, starting at 7:30 wouldn't allow for that.

Milton, the reason we were starting so early was so we could get a road ride in afterward as well. I am not completely against the idea as it continues to cool down and riding later is quite comfortable. Hmmm....

I'll be there for the Usery ride at 7:30.  Aaron called me today to ask when/where because he's going too.  Told him to meet at Crismon/McKellips at the dirt.

I know Josh and I would be up for it not this weekend but in the near future, we are out of town but will probably want to pre-ride SOON! I am sure you can wrangle up plenty of people to go out there.
