Subject: RE: The Things That Go Bump In The Night Team ThreadTexOma - 2007-10-04 1:21 PM The only thing that I know of that goes Bump in the Night is Grandma and her walker. Defeating night bumping objects is easy. Just find her glasses for her and help her back to bed.
BAD OMEN RULE!! You have now been cursed. Bad luck will follow you everywhere. Bad Omen = B.O. Ah, curse away ... all my "bad" luck turns into good luck. I consider myself one of the luckiest girls in the world. One of my fave sayings is "Events I thought were the end of the world turned out to be gifts." I'll give you a running-related one! I went into my first marathon with a stress fracture (and not having touched land running for a month until the marathon itself). Several great things happened: 1. It forced me to slow down and really enjoy my first marathon, not just run it; 2. I ran the entire marathon in the company of Carleen, a training partner, and this bond has sealed us into a friendship that is quite beyond belief to this day, 3. Recovery was great--had enough energy to go surfing the next day and, um, body surfing ... I had a gorgeous, "haunting" first marathon experience that I may not have had if I were chasing a clock. A lot of people "blow out" on their first marathon and never want to do one again, but here I am, working on #5. |
