I'm done 12,950m of my 20,000m goal.

i've got less than 10k to go. i think i can get it knocked out in 4 or 5 more swims. It seems doable since I've got about 10 more opportunities with the gym being open every day except christmas.

I banged out 3150 last night.   4800m to go.  It will be tough finding pool time as we are away for the holidays.  I will do the whole distance at once if I must.

Sorry for not posting recently. Work has been crazy-busy (it's a cruel trick to combine a massive business review with Christmas) and DD takes up most of the spare time I have. Having said that, I've been down at the pool and last night finished my last planned hour for the December challenge! Feeling generally very pleased with myself, especially as my swimming has improved stacks in the last month.

Here's a link to the spreadsheet with our results up to the end of week 2 (last Sunday). If you've got any questions about your numbers, let me know.

To explain the results, the top line is the actual amount you've swam each week (the first week is 9 days) and the second row is the pace you need to reach your goal (swimming evenly from the start). Then in red or green it tells you if you're on track at the moment. On the far right it shows you your overall total and the percentage of your individual goal.

If you've updated your logs since I recorded the details, please let me know. If you've been hit by injuries or unexpected pool closures, please let me know.

Well done in particular to Gracetheterp, Soloryder and Ornicus who are on track to complete their goals! Everyone else, get down the pool!!!

Good luck everyone and keep swimming!!

Finished today. I had 8200 yards left, and yesterday I was supossed to knock out half of it, but I only did 1000...so I did 7200 yards today. Pool closes tomorrow through January 2nd. Anddd yes i did use flippers for 3/4 of it. But that counts, right? (It freaking better).
So no complaining, everyone get in the pool!!

I believe I only have about 4300 more yards. for whatever reason, my results didn't appear in the week 2 or 3 results. it should help significantly when it gets factored in. i should be able to knock out my remaining yardage in 2 more efforts.

I've never been in a pool so much in my life!

Good luck to all the Grinches wrapping up the challenge. Finish up your commitments, team.

 And.... enjoy your holidays!

hello fellow grinches - great job in the pool this week!!

And huge congratulations to Ornicus and gracetheterp for completing their goals (and me Laughing) [Actually Grace, I still have you down for another 600 yards, so can you take a look at the spreadsheet and let me know what you think your weekly totals should be. Thanks.]

Everyone else, keep swimming. There's still a week to go and for most of you the end is in sight!! Just think of the extra servings of Christmas dinner you'll be able to have when you knock out these goals. [And if your totals don't match my totals, please post here!]

Getsome, you are so close you can probably taste the finish! Cool

1425 yd to go for me and I've got 2-3 swims of >2500 m left on the schedule!  Are we allowed to "donate" yards to others?

My totals are off a bit in the spreadsheet - probably because i swim in the evenings, even on Sundays. Should be week 1= 5,550, week 2 = 11,325 week 3 = 11,500.

Way to go guys - keep on swimming!

There is some complicated way the team can lend over-achievement to those who don't meet their goals, so if you've got the time today then hit the pool!! (Donto will calculate this for us.)

Great work Pipscweek - looks like you're going to storm over the finish line

Happy New Year everyone!

ps. I'll be online and checking logs on New Year's Day, probably late afternoon UK time. Please get your logs up to date by then!

DONE!!  Even tacked on some bonus yardage to finish with 37,500yds.

** My logs have my swimming totals in METERS, but I've always swam in a 25 YARD pool, so my actual distance is simply mis-labeled. No need for conversions.  I swam 37,500 YARDS this month.**

 woohoo!

Hey guys, I'm sorry to be the downer here, but I think I'm going to be short a half an hour.  I was going to swim last night, but got out of work late and showed up to a closed gym.    And the gym is closing early again today - geez, they think this is a holiday or what?  I'm going to try and skip out of work early, but it's not looking promising.

Happy new year everyone!

WOW - YOU (WE!) ROCK!! what an amazing final week from everyone. Everyone (except for Fin and she hasn't swum since week 1...) reached at least 80% of their goal.

And considering that last week was the Christmas week, with pool closures and pudding to contend with, I think everyone did a brilliant job.
