Okay....last week was bike 44 mi, run 7 mi, swim 1.3 mi. 5 miles of the running was done with an adventure racing group on some crazy terrain. Almost killed me!! Running is definately where I need the most improvement.

Nice--- Huge fan of Adventure racing! This is a great way to TRAIN!!!!!

I was going to answer your challenge for the week by doing a mile swim, but things came up. Let's swim 3 miles this week. For me that means 3 1 mile workouts (wed, fri, mon). Sound good?

I posted mine on my page.... let's see if I can remember.... 12,000 meters swim, 85 mi bike, 10 mi run. I've logged a big "0" since Feb 1... but I have time. As you can see, running is my weakest sport (didn't used to be that way), so please push me.

Can you knock out 20 miles of running this month?

Last week did a total of 2.5 hr swim, 6hrs bike and 1.5hr run. It was unbelievable cold for 3 days which makes my commute very interesting. Came with some frostbite on the face, not cool, but got the exercise hours in :-)
Will need to work on the running the coming weeks, but overall pretty happy as the body is holding up pretty well, no pains or injuries with the increased workout load the last last month.

I have 30 miles of running as my goal for February. ( I am also in a challenge group) I haven't thought much about the biking I can do 50 miles of biking and the swimming I will do by time because I have no idea what my distances would be. I can be in the pool 1 hour this month.

Did I really commit to all this? Am I crazy or what?

Thanks for the motivation.

I am going to a friend's house in an hour or so and do a bike trainer workout. Her husband is a professional bicyclist and has a video for a biking workout. It is apparently pretty hardcore...works off of HR.
I will let you know.

That is my answer to the challenge to do something different!

Pretty good week for me. I got a great spinning workout done today. 45 minute hill intervals. It was intense and my legs were burning at the end.

I love getting my bike ride in on Saturdays. I am running consistantly during the week but I love my weekend bike rides. It was too iffy on the weather for me to go outside today but I liked the change of pace.

I still need to do the swim thing!! I have got to make that goal. I will I will!!!

I too haven'tjumped in for a few months and just need to DO IT!!!

Have a great rest of the weekend

Run: 5h 08m 49s - 34.7 Mi
Swim: 40m 47s - 2200 Yd

Goals for the month:

Wow, I'm a slacker. Other than a good swim earlier in the week, I didn't do too much. School and work dominated my schedule. Saturday was a beautiful day, but I had to do tons of yard work, and I did a garage clean out. I guess that was a workout, 'cause I'm still sore from it. I will do better this week.

Guess I can't hide any longer. I did a decent run on Saturday but had to cut it short for a friend who was cramping. I AM going to the pool tonight and I WILL swim 1000m! Considering I have never done more than 700 that is a huge challenge for me. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went (that is if I don't drown first )

Not enough biking and running for me last week. I just bought a second hand vehicle and it needed a couple of trips to the garage and so I missed a couple of morning bike commutes and runs. Overall happy with the running as I have no pains while doing an hour (2 x 0.5 hr treadmill) runs

This weeks accomplishments:
Bike: 3h 15m - 77km
Run: 2h 10m - 19.5km
Swim: 2hr 40s - 6350m

Goals for the month:
Bike over 400 km
Run over 120 km
Swim over 25000m

I did it, 1000m! It really wasn't that bad either. I didn't get tired until lap 15 (of 20). The last 2 laps were tough, but I had switched breathing from every other stroke to every 4th stroke on lap 15 and that really made a difference. I felt smoother in the water and I could really concentrate on the pull. It seemed like I was propelled through the water much better and not being choppy with the breathing! I am stoked!!!!
