Yeah, biking is not such a challenge for me, though my mentor group had a challenge of our own this month and I still have some miles to go on the bike!!

Oh and yeah, I spin... and often don't count that as bike time, just depends on the class profile... but I also *heart* my pretty bike on the road AND on the trainer.  My mentor group has nicknamed me iron butt.

I want to hit the silver comet next month for a long ride.  Maybe I'll see you out there?

I loves me some long rides on the SCT!  I like to start in Hiram.  I'm weird like that .

We like to start at the Chamber - isn't that Hiram?

Close enough!  There's an actual trailhead called "Hiram" about 4 miles away, maybe?  I ride SCT and Cartersville a lot.

Edited cause now I'm confused by your edit... I was thinking Paulding County Chamber... is that the same?  Is Dallas in Paulding County or is it just in Texas??  (I love how people from Dallas, GA will always say, "I'm from Dallasgeorgia" as if it is all one word so as not to confuse people).

zipp1 - 2008-02-27 12:38 PM It's official: I have pneumonia   This is gonna be one tough recovery...

Judi...curious...so what's treatment for pneumonia?

A 10 day course of Avelox and 14 days of prednisone, doubled up on my maintenance inhalers, using rescue inhalers every 4-6 hrs, lots of rest and fluids.

I just picked up DD#2 from play practice and went into a cough/wheeze spell that scared the crap out of her. It broke on its own or I would have been headed to the ER for a breathing treatment...20 min driving to the nearest one in our system in that condition would have been really ugly too.

Oh my...sorry I asked

Please take it easy!

How are YOU feeling Sal?

Well, I know the antibiotics are in my system.  I can taste them in everything I eat.  I just wish the recovery was a little faster...(like instantaneous!)

Uh...I never approved that name...

Starting to.  I think I've maxxed out on the Mucinex effectiveness.  (warning TMI alert).  EVERY cough I had today brought up the motherload.  I thought it might have been better to run down to WallyWorld and buy a spitoon or something.

And of course my sick day turned into a work day.  There are some advantages from being able to work from home, but c'mon people!  Did it help that I started every e-mail off with:

Just got back from the doctor (upper respiratory infection)...yada, yada...

Uh.no.

Don't worry Spanky Sparco Sal, I was off doing the same thing. 10 plus pages of Nibbs and I still feel like I missed something. I read somewhere in there that Heather is creative? Are you sure? *ducking for cover cuz that girl's got an arm!*

Then again, after getting mowed down on the slopes today she's probably too sore to throw anything. hehehehe

Hi Nibbs - since Im going to be sleeping soon I need your help during the day if you are online...

Ive posted two challenge reminder threads.. one in Tri Talk here:

http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=105217&posts=1#M1240573

And one in COJ here:

http://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=105218&posts=1#M1240574

If you think of it... can you update the Peep content while Im offline - Im just trying to avoid the usual chaos of 'I only just found out about the challenge' - that and stirring up some newbies/COJers is always interesting!

Thanks!

Cat

Morning Nibbs,

I spent my evening visiting my place of employment as a pt.  The cough/wheeze cycle continued and I couldn't break it.  Had to call my husband from a meeting to come home.  He asked me if I wanted to go to the ER--YES...Got some relief of the pain from coughing.  Toradol is a wonderful nonnarcotic pain reliever.  Monster dose IV steroid, breathing treatment...I feel almost human today, going to pace myself to do some very light work around here.  I'm figuring for every 30 min work at least 15 min rest, NO VACCUUM (though it desperately needs to be done)...just pick up/file/organizational stuff to clear clutter.
