...I prefer funerals to weddings... might sound strange, but funerals can be just awesome.

Funerals are celebrations of life. I can't think of one where I wasn't laughing at some point of the service.

My TAN made it to page 50, I think I'm tearing up a little...*sniff*

My grandmother's funeral wasn't that bad - my great-uncle was telling me stories of the French ladies he seduced during WWII as we were all standing by the baptismal font waiting for them to wheel the casket by. She was 85, she'd lived a good life and was pretty up in spirits until the end. And then, because I'm Italian (and somewhere in there, someone married into an Irish family), everyone was liquored up at the luncheon following, with an open bar. Heck yeah.

My aunt's funeral (or rather, brief, non-churchy memorial service) - not quite as "fun". She was 50 and died of cancer, leaving behind her daughter whom she adopted from China 10 years prior. Not much to laugh about.

mr2tony - 2008-07-18 8:15 AM I co-authored a story on the NYC Tri ... and yes, I know it says 1.4 km for the swim. That'll be fixed as soon as the editor arrives. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aoI_dpiluIZw&refer=exclusive

Nice article, but who is Tony Dreibus?  I was looking for Wingman or 2goggs as the solicited author.   Is that the Bloom County times?

I tried to put `2Goggs' on the byline. They wouldn't let me.

I hate funerals... I love weddings if there's a good reception. I get to get all dressed up and seduce bridesmaids.

So they made The Wedding Crashers about you?

No. In Wedding Crashers they were successful at manipulating vulnerable women.

My kinda guys.

Funerals with my family are always interesting because they're a bit, um, crazy.  At my maternal grandmother's funeral her lipstick color was changed (yes while she was in the casket), because they didn't feel it matched her outfit and she would never have gone out like that. Oi!  The food is generally quite tasty though.

Morning TAN.  Headed to a lab meeting in a few minutes, than a follow up meeting with my advisor.  Don't expect to get much "research" done today, with PT at 1:30.

Lisa ... Had I known I would've `jostled' a long time ago.

Yeah I did my 5K last night. In 22:39. SLOW ASHE! I sandbagged the first half. Of course it was on a treadmill after 1-hour bike ride.
