I can't think of one where I wasn't laughing at some point of the service. My grandmother's funeral wasn't that bad - my great-uncle was telling me stories of the French ladies he seduced during WWII as we were all standing by the baptismal font waiting for them to wheel the casket by. She was 85, she'd lived a good life and was pretty up in spirits until the end. And then, because I'm Italian (and somewhere in there, someone married into an Irish family), everyone was liquored up at the luncheon following, with an open bar. Heck yeah. My aunt's funeral (or rather, brief, non-churchy memorial service) - not quite as "fun". She was 50 and died of cancer, leaving behind her daughter whom she adopted from China 10 years prior. Not much to laugh about. Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-07-18 9:04 AM
