She refuses to clean the pig sty known as her room.  We gave her a deadline which has since passed.  John took away her cell phone.  She went on strike and refuses to do anything else.  We sent her to her room. She turned on the radio so loud you could hear it 3 counties over.  John cut the breaker off to her room.  She took the radio to the bathroom and blasted it.  John threatened to cut the plug.  She left nasty trash talking notes all over the house.  She also hid my car keys and it took me 20 minutes to find them today.  She is lying to me a bout that one and denies doing it.

I won' say what is all over her room, lets just say items of a personal nature that have been USED and belong in the trash.  And she is lying around on the effing couch!

We simply expect her to clean the filth she calls a room.  To do a couple of simple chores every week. 

If I did even a minute fraction of what she's throwing out I wouldn't be here to vuss about her nastiness!

my mom gave up on me ever cleaning my room fairly early on...but the worst that I left lying around was some dirty dishes and dirty clothes.

you could rarely see the carpet and there was stuff heaped at least 2 feet high everywhere.  And then there was the period that I pulled some boxes out from under the basement stairs and made myself a little cave.  I lived in there for several months.   it was really little...just big enough for me and a heap of pillows and blankets.

barqhead - 2009-03-14 1:33 PM This was me as a teenager as well. And I'm still a slob to this day. But I knew that leaving notes saying "Bring it on B#tches" was definitely a bad idea with some serious hell to pay if I tried it. I so dread when my DD gets to be that age. She is so dramatic now.
