She slightly ischemified her bowel. She is pooing some blood. Please drink water and remain hydrated when you do your marathon/triathlon/ironman in order to protect your bowel. There are about 4-5 regions of the bowel that are called "watershed" areas that are prone to having loss of blood flow if you are severely dehyrated. That is all. She is fine and eating bfast and driving home. But it could have been worse. PS: It protects your kidneys too. That's what a friend of mine did at IM St George last spring. Well, that plus taking 800 mg ibuprofen every FOUR hours, before and during the race. Oh, and a bunch of acetaminophen, too. She wound up in the E.R. the day after the race because of the pain and bleeding. It is soooo important to stay hydrated out there! Amy - that is scary!! BTW Good Morning Morning Bill!! |

I give him not one, but two vacations to California this year--and all he has to do is sherpa me around for a day or two each time. *I swear I learned how to type at some point in my life.
