I will be back and forth until I leave in 2 hours for an interview. Maybe on later tonight. Good luck on the interview. I just got a phone call to set one up for Tuesday. Awsome! What time? Lunch time. Its tough in today's economy isn't it. I'm stressed but I'm sure its nothing compared to what others are going through. Sorry I thought that you were interviewing someone that day, which is why the was there. I was joking about what time I should come. Ooops! Someone on here was interviewing people the other day but I can't remember who. Good luck! |

Get up in one hour, prep for interview and head out! I have so save the preping for the last minute thanks to kitty whose fur gets on everything! I dress and leave the upstairs immediatly when I'm supposed to look nice. Good luck! Thinking of you! I hear you on the hair ... glad I never have to look really decent, because I'm basically one giant slobberfurball these days. Most of my clothes are dark (much of it is black) and I adopted an almost completely white cat... hahaha! I love her and would never regret choosing her - the greatest personality ever but I didn't think about how she would match my stuff. People say that cats don't care about people... Katsu demands attention from people and loves to be cuddled and played with. She plays fetch better than my parents dogs! |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT I still have to do my planks today... but I just ate pizza. My favorite food! Doing planks after eating sucks!! Doing the 4 min of planks a day is causing nerve problems in my hands and forearms. I developed cyclists palsy (ulnar neuropathy) the week before September. For those of you who sew, I can't turn the hand wheel to move the needle manually without great difficulty. I weigh quite a bit (about 175) and have tiny wrists, so maybe the extensive planks are a bad combination. I don't want to mess up our stats or myself so I think I will finish out the month with modified planks from the knees to cut some pressure out. I was also thinking of trying it on the fists so that I'm not cranking my wrists. Maybe I should get some push up bars... |

I'm doing the modified planks now to see how that goes. GO TEAM BT! Ps. No more planks for me on future challenges! |

Elite 2640 Ontario, Canada | Subject: RE: Ghoulies October: Team BT I did 2 min modified standard plank, 1 min regular upward plank (because doing it from the knees is... impossible), 1 min side plank. My plank component is lame now, I know. I still find the modifications mildly challenging so it's not a complete loss. |

My modification, due to my gastrocs, is to do them from the bosu ball so my feet are in the middle of the ball and I take the strain off the calf. |

The funny thing is I have nerve issues there too because all through childhood to now I spend a lot of time lying on my stomach proped up on my elbows, so I have issues there too. That's why dolphin planks disappeared from my logs the other day. My ulnar nerve at the elbow (funny bone) is often swollen. I will try the bosu alternate to test out some new positions. THe upper arn lifts a 3-5 lb wt like a bent row in front of you then hold the weight up vertical for a count of 10 then ease it back down, all while holding the side plank, It's H-A-R-D |

Didn't look to see how your goal was written up. No just 4 min overall because I'm heavy with weak abs. I was doing 30 sec x 2 for each of standard, dolphin and side plank, and 1 min of upward facing plank. Dolphin (elbows) is actually 20sec x 3. Pretty weak! That's why I chose it for my challenge. Maybe I cann substitute regular ab work for the planks? Eg. 1 min continuous crunches for a min of plank. |

Have you seen the stacking cups? Go into standard plank and stack the cups, then unstack - you get a 1 handed plank workout and a distraction. http://www.break.com/index/really-fast-at-stacking-cups.html |

I lie on my back and place it between my ankles then pass it from feet to hands and back. Each full cycle foot to hand/ hand to foot counts as 1 rep. Another thing you can do with it is leave it between your ankles straight raise & lower your legs then bring the legs side to side like windshield washers. Pilates is AMAZIng core work too. |
