Subject: RE: 100 days of Ghoulie Power!Good evening Ghoulies! Another crazy day here. 4" of snow last night and a bit of ice on top. The kids had fun sledding this afternoon. Before basketball though, there was basketball. Follow along. My daughter was supposed to have a game at 9:00 this morning. We got there just before 9, 5 of the 7 kids on my daughter's team were there, the other team never showed up. Her coach has a son in 8th grade, so the coach, his older son, and my son gave them 8 players. They played 4 v 4. My nephew had a game at 10, so we stayed and watched him. There was a game at 11, the same age group as my daugher. The one team had all 8 players show up, the other team only had 4. They were going to play 4 v 4, but there would be no subs. My daughter ran across the gym and told the other coach she could play. The guy in charge was there and he said it was fine with him. The team she was on was really bad, they only scored 11 points, my daughter scored 5 of them. At noon my son had a game. This was his first game ever (my daughter played last year). He scored 2 points and had several rebounds, and stole the ball on a few passes. He had a good time. They will have basketball games every Saturday until the second week in March. Basketball and softball will overlap for my daughter, that should be fun. It is never a dull moment. |
