Morning TAN'ers!!  Going to get on the drainer while the shop is heating up, so i can finish some projects that I started on yesterday.  I posted them on the FB page, but they still need a lot of work as they are in raw steel form.

Have a great Sunday!!!

The projects looks great, flip.  I dig the hat.

Morning, y'all.  Spent the last couple of hours fixing a computer for a friend, now it's breakfast time and then a swim before going and helping my bro-in-law put an engine in a '29 roadster  Well, not really putting it in, just mocking it up to see where to weld the motor mounts, but, close enough.

Later..... THE WALKING DEAD!!!

Hehe  It's a steel boxed frame he had made, fiberglass Ford body - coupe style with the turtle back.  He's building up a Rat Rod with it.

He's looked at a couple of different engines and at one point he was trying to figure out how to shoehorn some big ol' V-10 in there.  I *think* the engine we're trying today is a Chevy small block (420).

Swim got skipped, have to go help my Dad with some stuff.  Life really gets in the way of living, ya know?

GomesBolt - 2013-02-09 3:10 AM Hey Chris, are you in PR for work or pleasure?

Pleasure.  Doing IM San Juan 70.3.  First HIM, first real vacation in 15 years.  Kinda scared almost pewpless on both counts

Dinner: Ended up frying some pierogie & onion in butter with a tomato sauce.  Tasty, but needed a protein.

How's TAN this morning?  I'm trying to get up the energy for a long trainer ride today (3hrs).  The inspiration just isn't hitting me.

NEED COFFEEE!!!!!

You do PR? Me too! For "work" though.

I'm gearing up for a 2+ hour spin on a spin bike. I found it's much better for me to go to the gym and sit on one of their bikes than my trainer. On the spin bike I can crank up the resistance high enough to stand and go HARD - for some reason I can't on my trainer.

Plus I get to people watch everyone running around the track - some days I want to cheer them on, maybe I should today

Other P.R.    I'm going to/racing in Puerto Rico, not in Public Relations

I totally lack the tact and patience to ever do that job

I never said I was smart

Morning TAN - first date last night was boring. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. And just when we'd finished our drinks and I'm getting ready to be all "aah I have to be up early tomorrow", one of his friends sends over a beer. Just for my date. So I sit there and have to wait for him to drink it all before I can pretend I have to leave again.

Breakfast this morning made up for it though: 2 eggs with onion, yellow pepper baby bella mushrooms scrambled in bacon fat, 3 pieces bacon, vanilla coffee. YES.

Bummer about the date, but that's definitely a great breakfast to make up for it

@flip - the car is (will be) a '29 Ford Roadster HiBoy, engine is a Ford 460... and it barely fits (if at all).   The back of the block is about an inch and a half from the firewall.... it's gonna be hot in that thing

Hi TAN!

Good news... I got my Authorization for Employment Approval notice on Saturday!   The lawyer told us that the Green Card will basically nullify the Employment Approval, but what it means for now is that I can start to contact recruiters and apply for jobs!  WOOT!

Ok, third consecutive post, sorry, but I gotta say I'm probably gonna be up late because there's a strange banging noise in the wall of my apartment behind the laundry machines. Very annoying. About to bust open the wall to make sure someone didn't somehow fall in there... But not so sure it's worth losing my deposit.

Good morning TAN.

I wonder what a Pope's retirement plan looks like?

acts 20:35

john 3:16-17

proverbs 31:6-7

in short...he doesn't do it for money (which doesn't explain the blessings of the lamborghinis or the mercedes benz pope mobile, but hey, what good is a church without a hypocrite)

Who should make the pope mobile if not Mercedes? They're like Cadillac in Europe.

Remember Mercedes donated that vehicle after John Paul II was shot. He needed to be visible and be safe.

I don't know about blessing Lamborghinis. That must be pandering to the Italians.
