I haven't talked/emailed/texted my sister since marathon Sunday over 2 weeks ago, and we usually are in touch several times a day.

She was tracking my race, and saw I was no longer having split times. She saw my FaceBook post before I called anyone. She started calling and calling, but I was in the shower then, and not exactly coherent. When I finally called her back as soon as she answered the phone she started yelling at me because I didn't call and let her know I was in the ER, and I didn't call my husband, and a bunch of other crap. She had no idea what the circumstances of the day were and she was yelling at me. She never even asked me if I was ok.

I sent her a text yesterday and she didn't respond. My sister is known to hold grudges for ridiculously longer periods of time than she should. They were going to come to my house for Thanksgiving, now I don't know if they're coming. I don't even know if I'm still invited to my niece's first birthday part.

It's just sad.

That is sad. You are invited to the party, no doubt and I bet she will be at your Thanksgiving- cold shoulder and all.

Since I already brought up Thanksgiving today.

What are everyone's plans for next week?

I sent in the forms over the weekend to register my clan for a Turkey Trot. We may end up walking it because of my daughter's foot. The important thing is we are out there, it doesn't matter how fast she goes. If anyone has a problem with my 7 year old daughter with the injured foot walking they are welcome to file a complaint to me and my baseball bat.

I'm not sure what we're doing for lunch. If my family isn't getting together I'll make a big lunch for those in my household. I think I'm taking next Friday off. On Saturday we are going to one of my SIL to have dinner with my husbands family.

Oh I could wear them wrong. Haha. I also figure seeing how I have relatively no shame in walking around in compression pants and running tights with no probs, this is like a step up. Haha. Also as mentioned before, my Mom BOUGHT them WILLINGLY for me...so I figure as she is quite critical on what people should or should not wear in general that I'm probably somewhat safe as long as I don't go and wear them together with a midriff bearing shirt or tight tube top. Hahaha

I plan on wearing them out today/tonight (bday dinner for a friend) with a longer black BCBG shirt and heels and am going to go swim and bike or run before wearing them out to justify it. Haha.

The Girl, well, she may come. She may bring some friends or not, she doesn't know how many. I have invited a couple from up the road who may be here or not.

So either the DH and I are on our own. We may have us and 2 or 4 or 5 or 8 or more people. We'll be getting home on Monday. Tuesday will be recovery and catch up on work so that leaves Wednesday for making plans.

I was going to do a Turkey Trot with stepdaughter & son in law. But I am not sure that they are really going to do it. Also my brother in law has asked us to come so I don't know if we will leave Wednesday (no Turkey Trot) or after the run on Thursday morning. I don't know if we would come home Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I also have no idea when my stepdaughters want to have Tday with us. It is rarely on the actual day. So who knows what we will be doing!

I would LOVE to be able to wear an outfit like that. When I get rid of my weight I gained this year I may get some jeggings my own self!

What do you have for Thanksgiving since meat is not on the menu?

Well it depends on the crowd. If there are a bunch ofmeat-eating folks I do a turkey. If not, the usual is to bake a whole fish- like a salmon or sword fish. I always make all the sides- regardless. I am getting to be pretty dang good on the meat-less gravy. Gotta have sweet potatoes in some form, mashed potatoes, creamed onions, dressing (two kinds if there are meat-eaters)' biscuits, beans, pumpkin pie (my FAVORITE), walnut pie (I prefer that to pecan pie- a sin in the south) and some other vegetable casserole. I often make twice as much and take the seconds to the local shelter. Hey, if you are cooking that much food, what the heck. We are lucky we can use the oven in the house my mom lives in in the summer.

If no one comes- well do a dinner at one of the local Inns. Eating the same as above with out the clean up.

Yumm walnut pie sounds good. I like pecan pie, but walnut might be a nice change. And I have a killer recipe for sweet potatos. Maybe I will post it later. Now I am off to work, lunch with a friend, the grocery store, and hopefully a run before dark.

I always make a pecan pie. We have a walnut tree in our front yard and every year I'm giving bushels of walnuts away. Maybe someday I'll have to try a walnut pie.
