That settles it.  I AM old.  I just got an email advertisement from The SCOOTER Store...  Apparently, I must fit into their demographic of people needing mobility assistance via motorized wheelchairs.

My dad, Mr. Monster Garage, used to joke that if we ever got him one of those, he'd figure out how to remove the governor and get a supercharger on it.

I could swear I saw a recent YouTube video of someone who did something like that.  They were racing it on ice I think and said it hit 60mph or something?

I'm good at complaining.  But really, I'm easy going, laid back, and generally very happy!

I wonder why?

Drugs?

Most likely.

I feel old.  I even have a pill case with mon-sun on it with a multivitamin and synthroid pill in every container.

I have resorted to the pill case.  Sigh

I too have a pill case.  But I AM old .. so .. yeah, maybe that is a sign for you.

No pill case, but I am old, and often forget to take my medicine.  Maybe I need one.

Believe it or not I am fairly decent at remembering to take my meds these days.... frightening, I know.

Gawd I'm not.  I need a reminder on my phone and then I have to make note of it so I don't take it twice.

Senility sucks doesn't it!

Crazy thing yesterday.  With a mile left in my run last night, my nose started to bleed (the dry air gets to me sometimes).  If I wasn't wearing my favorite training shirt, I would  have just used it to stop it/clean.  But I ended up just trying to wipe it away with my hands but it was gushing...  I had a fear that I was looking pretty gory and I was correct.  Got home with a blood covered face (like I just got done "feeding") bloody hands.  I took a pic but didn't want to gross anyone out.

If anybody saw me running looking like that, I wonder what they would have thought?

Now I wonder what I would do if it was in a race or something.  Keep on going obviously, but maybe clean up at an aid station or something.

Years ago, at the birth of my son (now 17), I developed a bloody nose while in the operating room (dry air in Colorado - was a regular occurrence).  I didn't realize it, and kept wondering why the nurse was asking me if I was ok.

She finally stopped being polite and told me that I was bleeding through the facemask.  Ahh, fun times.

Rained this morning during our ride so we both looked like we had poopy pants when we got home.

Needless to say I changed before the run.

You guys are joking about being old.  I really must really look old to people who should know what old looks like.  When I am visiting my mother at the assisted living home, I have been asked what floor I live on.  When I have taken my mother to various functions with her age group (like funerals)  and I have introduced myself to people,  they have told me that they just met my wife.  My wife was not present, just my mother.  I am not kidding.  It is enough to order a case of Grecian Formula.

yeah, well, when I was paying for my honeymoon suit for my wedding, the guy asked me if I was the brides father...  Ouch...

But honestly, that sort of pizzed me off.  I mean, I know she looks young, but I know I still didn't look old enough to be her dad...  It's the only time it happened.  People are often surprised about how old I am.

I had the opposite problem. People always thought my mom was my grandmama.

When I was in Japan in 2000, when I was 26, my friend's friends all scoffed at me drinking because they thought I was underage.
