Good morning Ghoulies. 

I did not get a swim in yesterday, however I did do the PX90 yoga workout. 

P90X yoga is a beast!

I have all my swim gear in the car. 

When I rest my chin on my hand, I smell a funny mixture of chlorine, clove & cinnamon!

Weird.

Even though I scrubbed well in the shower after swimming yesterday, I didn't have my chlorine neutralizing soap.  Guess it makes a difference.

Um... what exactly do they put in your pool?

LOL  I put OnGuard essential oil in our juice this morning.  Helps fight off colds, etc.  Has clove & cinnamon in it.  I must have gotten some on my hand. 

Too bad it wasn't from baking something.  Huh, can you tell I am a little hungry this morning?  Shouldn't be.  I had a pretty good breakfast.  Oh well, I will eat an apple or something later this morning.

With the help of my kiddos I was able to rearrange the workout area I have in the basement to make it a little more functional.

Good news, it is Wednesday.

Bad news, I am sneezing and my head is stuffy.... and I am still in my round of antibiotics. Virus's are attracted to me, it seems. I am putting it down to either some new allergy or change in weather stuff. Denial is a wonderful thing

I'm pretty sure there was a decree against getting sick, so you're just going to have to get better NOW!

It is a lonely day in here. I have been trying to get people to do their jobs. For some people it is like nailing jello to a tree.

Good afternoon Ghoulies!

Does anyone know anything about Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN)?  Intramuscular manual therapy.  This is what they want to try on my hip.  They say it is not acupuncture, but seems pretty similar to me.

I have sorta heard of it. I heard it described as acupuncture for the muscles. Dee probably knows.

It looks similar but instead of targeting acupuncture points, it targets the trigger points in the muscles. 

The trigger points are just what it says ... areas that trigger pain response in other areas or over a broad area.  Get the trigger point to settle down  and voila! the pain settles down.   There are various ways to treat trigger points ... point pressure, dry needling, injecting saline, etc.

Acupuncture points are more about stimulating health in muscles, nervous system, etc.
