I pi$$ed out on my workout this morning, and put my monthly mileage goal in jeapardy before it even began. I then went and played hockey tonight, and pulled my groin (har-d-har har) for the third week in a row. I always take the next day off after hockey game, but I may be layed up for a few days after this one. Ibuprofen, and Seagrams are my friend on this evening. :0 I am not sure what kind of hockey team you play on if you keep pulling your groin.... Seagrams wine coolers?....haha! Time for some therapeutic swimming! |

Mentsl tough day today but got it done. On th nutrition front I finished the month poorly..dang salt and vinegar chips! Logged most of my meals but struggled those last few days. Oh also starting a day late on the push up challenge...I let my husband distract me with wine last night! |

Veteran 340 Dallas | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed mirthfuldragon - 2013-02-02 5:44 PM Seem's like there's a theme going on here - soreness/injury, big meals . . . Let me join this club. Got a nice 1,000 yards in the pool this morning, after bonking hard on yesterday's run. The fatigue levels have been a bit noticeable lately, so I took Friday and tomorrow off, effectively, and kept today's swim short. Monday I'm going to start on trainer road's 11 week novice competitor high volume program, with some easy swims and z2 runs on on two of the off days. Compared to January, my training should drop down a bit, but I'm looking forward to spending more time on the bike. Speaking of the bike, I just got back from Performance bike with a new saddle (some jerk tore the old one in the bike room in my apartment) and a new, shorter stem, so some new parts should make my ride a bit more comfy. Tomorrow's a really busy day for me, which is nice since I won't be working out - Book of Mormon matinee, then a Superbowl party. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, and resting/healing/working as necessary.

Good news on the trainerroad plan. Those workouts are a beast! I am still hitting some and I am sure the 11 week plan will increase for fitness. Did you do the FTP test yet? Knee hurting like the dickens. I think my 38 mile bike is a no go for the a.m. Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation. all going on right now. My tri bud invited us over for the SuperBowl. He and his wife are doing Whole30. No Beer. Damn. Should I take same and drink it in the bathroom? |

Member 21 Youngsville | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Sorry for my inactivity. I've been fighting a flu. Raced in a 10k yesterday. I forgot it was approaching, fiancé woke me up to remind me and get me dressed. Popped a few DayQuil and squeaked out a 55min time. Not happy with it but I can sleep at night knowing it could have been better. Hope everyone else is killing it. |

Expert 925 Timmins, ON. Canada | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Qua17 - 2013-02-01 4:53 PM Last night was the monthly meeting of the Beer Club where we try a particular style of beer. Last night it was beers from Scotland and Ireland. Here is the list with a few comments: Guiness Extra Stout - liked it but since it's in a glass bottle there is no nitrogen Crabbies - beer meets ginger ale... strange but tasty Punk IPA - a scottish version of an American IPA... the hints of grapefruit tastes like actualy grapefruit. I gave this an A Skull Splitter - Aweful Old Engine Oil - totally unbalanced Brooklyn Brewery Dry Irish Stout - and a little chalky... with a finish that just dissapears Old Chub - Way too malty for me Blackfriar - Fruity with too much diacidal Tranquair Jacobite -Fermented in oak barrels and flavored with cooriander...Grade A Traquair House Ale - Best beer we tried! A+ Ola Dubh - Aged in scotch barrels - second best beer we tried. Amazing Ola Dubh Special Reserve 12 - A little too whiskey-ish Thoughts? Any thing else y'all would like to recommend?
That is a serious list! I need to find a beer tasting club around here! |

Expert 925 Timmins, ON. Canada | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Hope everyone has had a good weekend so far, I just got in from a very nice run through a lot of snow. It was short, slow, slippery, and cold, but it was great and the dog loved it! We have gone way off paleo for the past few days, and I can feel it in the digestive tract and my energy levels, so I am going to recommit to cutting out most processed crap, with some wiggle room for the good stuff...aka Beer, Scotch, etc. I start midnight shifts tonight, so you can probably expect to see a lot more comments from me on here, as there really isnt all that much to do on the overnight shift.
Quick question for those who log off their Garmin, I couldnt get my forerunner 110 to connect at all today, it says it imported, but then nothing showed up??? Any ideas/tips Edited by justinfss 2013-02-03 11:51 AM |

This happens to me as well, usually towards the end of longer swims though, I usually just try to stretch them out on the wall/floor of the pool. Only had one time after doing some serious kicking drills that it nearly drowned me, so dont worry...just keep stretching....theyll get in line! |

My main juice is: green apples, a few leaves, lemon, ginger or fennel, pears, ginger I also use a great Canadian nutritional supplement, Vega. The origionator is a vegan triathlete. It is a bit expensive but I consider it a meal replacement, multivitamin, probiotic and omega 3 supplement all wrapped up in one. It is a pretty impressive product.

Extreme Veteran 2098 Alberta | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Well another "weak"end for me in regards to workout and calorie intake...damn, damn, damn! I have got to buckle down if I want to be in a speedo my the end of march! Started pushup challenge with my son and daughter. Wife is already doing hers at work! 10,12,7,7,24=60 day 1 done! Had a decent run and crushed my row time trial! Shaved just about 20 seconds off my 2000 meter time trial! Me and the better half went over our race schedule for the year. I think we have a general idea of races, although there is some definitely some wiggle room. So far for me it looks like: Drayton Valley sprint: may 11 Red Deer sprint: June 22 Invermere Oly: July 14 "A" race Leduc spring:July 21 Stettler sprint August 11 |

It might be the new (i'm not sure if the 110 got it but my 610 did) firmware update. It took mine at least an hour as it kept redownloading the update over and over. |

Yeah I have a bag of VEGA chocolate drink mix, and it is super good! Like the sounds of the first recipe, not so sure on the second one, I really do not like that black liquorice taste of fennel...Wife loves it though! |
