I've been focusing on biking. The two day walk is next month and that will be two days on the bike escorting walkers who are going first 20 miles on Sat and then 10 on Sun. Who knows how many miles I'll put on the bike riding back and forth along the long long long line of walkers. I think last year there were 3K walkers. They sure do spread out. So I'm getting my butt in shape to ride on the bike for 8 hours of slow riding. LOL

This Saturday is a practice walk with the EXPO. The walkers are going to go 10 miles with all of us bikers (motor and pedal) escorting them. Kind of a practice run for the real thing. I figure the 10 miles, I'll be on the bike 3 hours at least. (We are talking slow walkers, not TRI walkers).

Well the formality is over - I hit 2000 on August 6, 2008.  What an accomplishment and I have Nibbs to thank for it.  I was lost in the 1000 range before I hit Nibbs and have succeeded in learning from the best (Dee/Beth/Cat) on how to pad your post count to attain immortality on BT!

I need a tissue - I am starting to tear up in my right eye.  Nope - Eyelash was stuck.  Sorry!

Everybody gets the day off!

Who has the Dr. Nibbs notes?

That sounds like it could be fun.  Do you get to circle around and check on the stragglers around you as well?

Getting the butt in shape is key because you are going to be sitting a lot on an uncomfortable seat for a long time!

If I get assigned the caboose, then yeah, I'll be rounding up the stragglers.

I've done a century ride, so I'm well aware of the getting the butt in shape. Luckily I've got a pretty nice seat on the bike. And we will have plenty of on and off the bike as well that day. Just don't ask me to sit at work the first couple of days back after two days in the saddle. LOL

OK, so the comment about circling around made me picture Kendra as a shriner, riding in little circles around people and wearing a cool hat.

Feel free to try to think of her in any other way now. I can't.

Sounds good to me.  I can go put up the last piece of paneling behind the stove and nail the molding down around our new island and the kitchen will be 100%

You going to post pics for us, right?

The rate I am going I think 5K will be my 1 year anniversary goal (Jan 2009).  Nibbs might make it happen soon rather than later and then when race season ends - COJ picks up with useless important threads as well

If you can hit that mark in a year, you have a good shot at catching some of the leaders in posting. You go! Set that goal! You can do it! Goooooooooo Billlllllll!
