bcart1991 - 2008-09-09 10:39 AM T-minus 80 minutes to lunch date. Woot.

Nice - where are you going?

A little downtown New-Orleans-style place owned by a friend of mine.

Hi TAN. Some updates...

My legs are now huge. They don't fit in my pants. Sweet. It's okay b/c it's muscle but...now I need to find new freakin pants. Ugh.

It's so cold in here today that I am wearing my "Hobo" gloves. Der.

Game day! Woot!

Haha, that happened to me once I started running. My quads got bigger and now my pants don't fit the same.

It is not freezing in here today, for a change.

My pants never really fit in the thighs.  Eventually I just bust the seems and then get new ones.

So daylight is starting to become scarce, esp. as my weekday runs become longer. I think I'm going to have to start taking running clothes to work, changing here and driving directly to the trail, to waste as little time as possible. But I know some of those longer runs are going to be ending in darkness. I'm askeered I don't have any friends who will run at the slower pace for long runs like that. Headlights and reflectors will not save me from rapists and kidnappers

Pepper spray.

Or the shotgun as Ryan suggested.

You could always strap a shotgun to your back.

I was thinking dual 45 ACP's strapped on Laura Craft style....

I would love to taser or pepper spray a bad person.

Buy me a case of beer, and I might let you tase me....  i wonder how that feels...

It is quite painful... I would not suggest it... Plus it is pretty freaky losing almost all controllable muscle function at once.

Plus the health risks are pretty high. A lot of people with un-diagnosed heart problems can drop dead from it.

I saw video from our police of them talking to a guy that got tasered. His words:

"Dude, if you got a choice between dat taser and a a$$-whoopin', take da a$$-whoopin."

It is QUITE unpleasant from what I hear.

Reminds me.  I was at the Halloween shop over the weekend and they had their usual wall of "sexy-(blank)".

Sexy cop, sexy nurse, sexy secret service, sexy school girl.  One of them kind of jumped out at me and struck me.  I won't say I found it disturbing, but it made me wonder.

They had a "sexy" Harry Potter student costume.  So you ladies can be busting out of your very own Griffendor wizarding student uniform.  I don't know why this particular item struck me slightly as "wrong", considering every thing else they have, but it did.

It hurts like an SOB - plus you look like bacon on a hot grill for about 20 seconds and I got a huge headache.

Morning TAN.

Yeah...that seems a little inappropriate.

But that kind of reminds me of the one time Lindsay Lohan hosted SNL, before she was all cracked out, and they did a Harry Potter skit where she played Hermione and was busting out of her top (the joke was that she'd "developed" over summer break) and Ron and Harry were staring at her chest. It was pretty funny.

'Tis a little off - they are supposed to be school aged, right?

I saw a sexy nun outift tthat kind of blew my mind.  In 40+ years of catholocism, I have never seen a sexy nun live.

Yeah... That is slightly wrong... But that is just because my brain automatically goes to one of my wife's 7th grade students buying it to look "cute" for her boy-friend... only because it is a Harry Potter characterization.

The other ones are fine.

Yes. In short, adults can be a bit creepy.  When I did my writers groups we would talk about how there was all this adult content Harry Potter fan fiction - I hadn't seen any of it myself, but apparently there were lots of teenage/adult pairings.  The Halloween costume thing doesn't surprise me - people are creepy and they have too much free time.

This should be the BT motto.
