Holy. Crap. My days are not going according to plan! Eek! I'm going to get back on track though. It took having a little freak out at my poor hubby today, though. Not that he hasn't been creating most of the diversions I'm battling right now. :/

Does anyone know anything about Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN)? Intramuscular manual therapy. This is what they want to try on my hip. They say it is not acupuncture, but seems pretty similar to me.

It looks similar but instead of targeting acupuncture points, it targets the trigger points in the muscles.

The trigger points are just what it says ... areas that trigger pain response in other areas or over a broad area. Get the trigger point to settle down and voila! the pain settles down. There are various ways to treat trigger points ... point pressure, dry needling, injecting saline, etc.

Acupuncture points are more about stimulating health in muscles, nervous system, etc.

Good Morning!

I have this morning off. So about mid morning I will take the dogs to the park to let them run around and get tired. Then I am going to go on into the Y and do my running on the tready to work on my pace. Then sauna, shower and then work in the afternoon. At least that is the plan.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I'm working from home today. I normally would have slept in a little more, but the kiddos have off of school so I'm thinking I'm going to take them out to lunch when I'm done working.

I thought their dentist appointments yesterday were just quick ortho checks, and I was going to take them out when we were done, but it turns out they were full cleanings and we were there for an hour and a half. :-/

The county has paid for a group to work on an extended plan for the library. With input from the library of course. Anyway, they sent out a survey to staff to fill out. The email stated that if you received the email you were required to fill out the survey. Hmmmmm. First clue that it might not be anonymous. Then, as I filled out the survey, it asked how long you had been in your position. Second clue. Anyway, I did not put in the right number of years that I have been with the library, cause if I did, it would narrow down my answers as belonging to only about 6 people. LOL.

Yes, it is a 4 day weekend. I have Monday off, too. Today we are going to go to lunch, then go to the college and work on softball skills, and climb the bouldering wall. Monday we are going to go swim at the college, and probably play with some other stuff, too.

Um... wrong on so many levels. 1) you should never be REQUIRED to fill out a survey 2) if you do fill one out it SHOULD be anonymous. You won't get honest answers any other way.

Tonight we are going to a fund raiser dinner for an orphanage in Thailand. Besides dinner, there will be a silent auction ... mostly of stuff brought back from Thailand. Also they will "recreate" the Thai night market. It says bring small bills for the vendors and checkbook for the silent auction. LOL

Should be fun!
