Hi and bye. I'm going to Oakland, California's murder capital (well, L.A. is pretty bad too). Pray for me. BBL. Frown

Of course you should be concerned because almost all murders occur randomly.

Furniture is expensive, but a desk chair? That thing had better give you a massage, have a seat warmer, have cupholders for beer - actually, no, it should dispense beer.

The piano in my parents' house is for decoration now. But it used to be mine I just don't have anywhere to put it here, so it lives there I miss it. It's nothing special - just an upright, not a baby grand or anything.

If I had a HUGE house, and a spare room.  I would get a baby grand...  I can sort of play though.  I'm not sure how much I would play with all my other activities.  Could be good if there are kids, no?  I would also get the kind that can play by themselves, you know, for parties...

I'd still play it, if I had it. Actually, I totally could have had it in the first apartment I lived in when I moved down here. We didn't have nearly enough furniture and the living space was really big. But since then, the places I've lived in haven't been quite the right shape/size to have space for the piano. And getting it down here will be expensive, so until I have a permanent place that is big enough - it's going to stay at my parent's house

I would love to have a baby grand.  I miss playing so much.  Right now I'm looking at getting an electric piano so that I have something to play that fits in my apartment.

Hey now......

For the record I've only bought ONE pair that expensive.. Most of mine are in the $100-$150 slot..

I have a pair that was supposed to be $400, but I only paid $150.  I think they are the most comfortable pair I own.

I've sort of considered that. But no extra cash right now. Trying to figure out how to be more useful to the worship band (which includes learning guitar), so if I join, I'm not just stuck singing harmony cuz my piano skills are rusty and I haven't mastered the guitar yet. We don't have any good singers, so it would behoove me to learn/polish up those instruments. Maybe next year, I can join. I know that sounds egotistical, but seriously - the other young adult group at the mega-church has a ton of really good singers (their bands are awesome). Ours, not so much. Or at least, the good singers aren't joining the worship band because they kind of suck.
