Wish me luck. My sister and I have both left everything to the last minute; we're kind of dreading this trip (we're going back to our folks' for the end-of-Ramadhan holiday, super big deal, bigger than Christmas here, so it's THE holiday) ... so much strife in the family lately. Not from us, though my sister's the scapegoat of the moment. Sigh. But there are always important, useful, and lovely things to do with my mom and for my mom, so that's nice. I always like seeing my brother's kids, too; since we're all so close in age, they're more like my younger siblings. Good luck! Mmmm end of Ramadhan? That sounds like food to me! Excellent point, Salty. Thank you. There will be all kinds of wonderful food and treats in great abundance, special ones we only have at this time of year. MMMMMMM I need every reason I can to drag my butt on that plane ... I did find the ticket but unfortunately that means I need to pack. Anything I'm likely to forget that I should bring? Sounds like you might want to tuck in some extra patience and sanity if you have room...Other than that, what is the one thing that you often forget? I always put that in first. |

Asalzwed - 2012-08-18 1:28 AM 4 of my friends are actually racing with me this weekend. That's a first! Alright, I need to confess another brilliant Salty moment. We were discussing what starting waves we were in. My friend Sara and her twin sister Lisa are both doing the race. Sara says, "I think I am in the mixed AG." and I say, "Oh, is that so you can start with your sister?" Sara says, "My TWIN sister?" Ughhhhhhhhh. I have been having one of those months! I swear I am not always this dense! HAHAHAHA! Ask my sister ... I have those moments all the time. I do stuff like that with my own family ... like when we are signing documents and have to initial by things ... and I'll be halfway through before my sister and brother remind me that we all have similar handwriting (my brother's and mine are identical) AND the same initials so I have to add a Y in the middle. DOH ... |

Hopefully you were going to say scrounging around the stores looking for the right size. When I went to Singapore, the airline lost my luggage. I always pack a change of clothes in my carry on, but had already used that on the flight over. Soooo had to go looking for undies. Big Booty undies. In a country full of small azzed people. Did not go well. |

Did not go well. Nope ... there is no right size in the stores for my big booty. I usually go scrounging around in my mom's lingerie drawer for the least worst of the granny panties, or if my sister also came along, filching undies from her suitcase. But that also made me remember something I need in the care package! |

Honestly, I can't think of any boss that I have had that I wouldn't have excused myself in a hurry. I am not that cool that I could've played it cool. I once had a boss come on to me at a work party held at her cabin--she hugged me and whispered in my ear which side of the bed she slept on. She was in a long term relationship and knew me to be as well. I was so icked out it wasn't funny. There had been some drinking, but seriously. |
